We have been through the what sports you have played, which side do you sleep on and other more divulging questions.  How about something more creative.

What musical instrument have you or do you play. (not the radio)

I grew up playing the trombone in the HS marching and symphonic bands

Played 12 string guitar in college and still do (ah those hippie days)

play keyboard, mandolin, trumpet, and violin...and percussion of course.

how about you?

I've played Clarinet since I was 12 (just under 15 years) but I tried a whole bunch before that including piano (still know some of that and wouldn't mind taking it up again but our keyboard doesn't work), violin, recorder, guitar (all compulsary in different grades when I was in primary school) and tena horn (part of the tuba family) at a local brass band that my brother and cousins were part of. When I was in HS I was part of the concert band and in a local wind symphony for a while but I got sick of some of the people and their politics.

Fooled around with guitar in Jr HS like just about every other male my age
I'm a closet picker of 5 string banjo now. Scruggs and Ralph Stanley styles.

Started playing the French horn in the 5th grade.  Played off and on over the years, but got serious about again twenty years ago.  Played in the Sarasota Pops Orchestra for five or six years, in a brass quintet and a lot a church gigs during the Holidays.  Studied for a couple of years with Lisa Heiny, who had been a student of the legendary Phil Farkas.
Highlight of my playing career was performing with and getting to know David Ohanian and Ron Romm, formerly of the Canadian Brass.
Had to quit playing after my open heart surgery ten years ago because it hurt my sternum and rib cage too much.  Everything's healed now, but have moved on to other things in my life and don't feel the desire to play anymore.

I have NO musical talent what so ever.  I played trumpet for like 3 weeks when I was in 5th grade.  So.....

I live my musical life through my two teenage daughters....one sings and placed in the state finals in both show choir and regular choir and the other one plays the clarinet and was a member of the grand national champions in marching band this year.

Guitar (2 acoustic, 1 electric), bass guitar (a 5 string and a 4 string) and sing. I played in a local cover band for five years, but stopped about 4 years ago. Currently I play and sing with my wife at church on occasion. Also played in the pit orchestra for the local High School theatre department. I had the opportunity to travel half way across the country for the International Thespian Festival with them. But the highlight is playing the music for "Grease" while my daughter was on stage. What a cool experience!

I'm a band director so technically, I can play them all, however, my flute students learn very quickly to not ask me to demonstrate anything on flute.  Everything else is okee dokee.

Trumpet when younger, then drums once my parents realized that drums might actually be quieter.

Piano as a kid, violin as an adult and viola as an older adult.

That said, the orchestra I am playing in is having an end-of-semester concert tonight.

Rhythm guitar in a local rock band a long, long time ago.  And I was the lead singer.  Accordion before that.   Fife before that (No, not in the Revolutionary War!)

From 4th grade to about 10th grade I played a variety of woodwinds.....clarinet, alto clarinet, bass clarinet and bassoon.

None of them well, trust me.  I'm a better singer than instrumentalist and that I do by ear cause I make up my own harmony line as I go.....

Played trombone from 5th through some college. Played bass trombone as freshman in HS on in Jazz Band, symphonic and marching.

My wife bought me a drum set about 10 years ago and I taught myself how to play as I always wanted. I played out a few times with a friend's band for a couple of songs.

I also bought a bass guitar thinking I was going to be able to teach myself how to play that but got bored\distracted and gave up. Barely used with an amp if anyone's interested in it.

Percussion and used to play air guitar (actually made a few hundred bucks back when I played in the '80s.).  I was a vocalist/singer, too, in a garage band back then, too.

Drums in Grade school through high school and taught myself to play a little piano.

I would love to learn the violin and to play the piano better.  I would kill to be able to sing but I can't carry a tune in a bucket.
