The smallest Shuffle is now cheaper than a pair of running shoes . . .

It's gear, right?

Well, if you are particularly interested in the Shuffle rather than any other iPod model, I suggest you act in the next couple of months, no later. Because the $69 price drop on the shuffle was accompanied by a drop to $149 for the smallest Nano -- I think the flash-based Shuffles are going to go EOL soon in favor of the slightly higher profit margin Nano's . . .

Love mine as well. Had a problem with my first one--the batt stopped holding a charge. They sent me a new one, in 2 days, no questions asked.

You can order on Apple's webstore.  I think it's Apple.com.  The engraving is free!

I think that is very cool that you knew what the Zaga meant!   This year's team has had my BP racing more than once-- when they played Oklahoma St, USF, last night's game, it's right down to the last seconds.   I think they're enjoying making us nervous!

Looks like Gonzaga squeeked by with another one.

Morrison does some crazy stuff. If I didn't look at the basket after he shot I would swear he was a terrible basketball player, he just looks so awkward handling the ball and shooting. You can't argue with the numbers though...

I still have to say that Redick is more impressive, as much as I hate Duke... (I go to Kansas).

Good luck in the tournament, (as long as you're not playing us).

Oh yeah... and about those Ipods....ttt i guess.

Glad you caught the game too. Stanford played an outstanding game, so i'm very proud of my Zags for pulling out a nice win.

Reddick, while pretty, and an extremely good perimeter shooter, is no match for Morrison. I'm most impressed by the numbers Morrison keeps putting up against gimmick defenses, rough play, and constant double and triple teaming all over the court. JJ has the luxury of scoring on just 1 man. I hope they're able to share Player of the Year Honors, though, because they're good kids who have done good things for the game of college b-ball.
There, I gave JJ a compliment and my head didn't explode like I thought it would.

Go to your local genius bar with your receipt. If you ask really, really nice, and bat your eyelashes, the geekgenius behind the bar may be authorized to cover the difference, or to offer you an itunes gift certificate.

I've heard that it's not an official deal, so if you don't get it your womanly charms may be to blame.

thanks for the heads up!

It was time I finally bit the bullet. My poor discman died a slow and painful death about 9 months ago. I kept waffling about "Oh if I just spend a little more money, I get XX more memory space!!" Pretty soon, by that logic, I'm spending $400! But in the meantime, my workouts have been very quiet.

But no more -- my 512 shuffle came today. Perfect for the workouts, I think, and as you say, cheaper than shoes.

Not sure where you bought your Shuffle, but a cpl yrs ago a I bought a 10GB iPod and a similiar think happened. A cpl weeks after my purchase they stopped making the 10GB and they dropped the price of the 15GB to that of the former 10GB. The store wouldn't give me an exchange for the 15GB since I had already opened the box, but they did give me something like $50 back...the difference b/t what I paid and the new price for the 10GB. It's worth a shot!

Left my truck unlocked last night ... and some suburban brat-kid nabbed my iPod Shuffle.  Thinking of replacing it with the $149 1G Nano, insomuch as I am drawn to the following features:

1) Can create play groups (e.g. fast mix, slow mix, etc.); and,
2) Can download and watch TV episodes such as LOST (e.g. airplane).

Does the Nano have these capabilities?  (I checked the website and it was not that clear and/or I wasn't smart enough to figure it out). If not, then the 1G Shuffle seems spartan enough that I willnot have to worry about it breaking through the rigors of training with it ...?

nano doesn't play videos. It has a viewing screen, and can store and play still photographs (i'e', a slide show), but you need one of the bigger video ipods to download and play the videos.

You can create playlists on the nano.

Hmmm ... like the ability to create songlists/am bummed that I cannot watch LOST on an airplane.

Do you know how fragile/resistant to moisture the screen is?

I don't have any sort of mp3 player/walkman to use during training, so it doesn't bother me. Just never got around to buying one, though I know it would help some.

The only time I get tunes is when I'm riding on the trainer.
