Awesome team name!

Expert  924   Western WI |  Subject: Awesome team name!OK, tell me what you think about this team name. A group of my gal friends signed up for a local fundrasing run as a team and had to think up a team name to put on our shirts. Because we are all wives of firefighters we came up with: Fire Hose I think it's awesome! But I may be a total dork...it is awesome, right?! And while we're at it - what are some of your best (or worst) team names?

Expert 1014 , New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Awesome team name! That is brilliant!  I've never been on a team...unless you count a dance troupe. I was in a Middle Eastern dance troupe called Raks the Casbah. (Raks Sharki is the type of dance, and our choreographer was a fan of 80s music.) |

I love Fire Hose as the name for a team of Firefighter's wives. Brilliant. I agree with Tony that someone will eventually complain/be upset. |

When I did a trail relay, this one group of geologists had a group What the Schist? and We are Naughty, not Gneiss. Being a science nerd, they both entertained me. Last year my friend and I were team Ironcrotch for TTT. The race director emailed back that it was the best laugh she had in awhile. |

Played in an indoor league where a team named themselves "bye" - took a couple of weeks before the other teams realized that was the team name and not the schedule for that week!...they were terrible and "won" the first two games on forfeits! Only points they got all season. |

I guess some people can only handle hearing from Yes men. No one has ever accused me of being a Yes man. Lord have mercy, don't get your shorts in a bunch over it. All I was saying (poorly apparently since she did indeed solicit opinions) was that she shouldn't worry about what others think or say. And I would hope nobody would accuse you of being any kind of man (yes, no, best, burning, et. al)....else they might need to go get their eyes checked. |
