Possum, the most dear of our fellow BTer's, is feeling a bit of the world's load recently. I just wanted to give her a shout out and let her know that she has meant so much to me and has played an integral role in my beginning this sport. Not only has she meant a lot to me in the way of the sport, but more importantly in figuring and sorting out a lot of my feelings/decisions regarding life. She keeps me going and smiling.....even when I'm tangled in a mess of extremely tight tri clothes in the bathroom of Fleet Feet.....she quietly reminds me....."AJ....really..you'll need to wear a bra with that, put those away." Thanks Possum, you rock!

I give her credit for much of what I've been able to accomplish in the past 6 months. Open hearted and open minded. One of the most generous souls I've had the pleasure to meet and someone who has helped re-sell me on inherent kindess of humanity. Her athleticisim stands on it's own PLUS she has a damn fine sense of humor and possesses exemplory driving skills. You're a very special person, darlin'! |

However, when I first started poking around on BT I noticed this person posting who was funny, intelligent, supportive and from Wisconsin - Possum. I was feeling all nervous, was deep into my own thoughts + trying to dispel doubt, when Hollis said something witty, funny and just so off the wall that it brought me back to a full smile. I laughed about her comment all the way through the swim and into the bike. Sometimes you see who people are just by little comments. Thanks Hollis! You rock because of just who you are!
