Champion  6786      Two seat rocket plane |  Subject: I think we're gonna need a bigger.....chain saw. This was a huge maple tree in my back yard. It was probably 80 to 100 years old. Came home yesterday and there it was. It missed our storage building by an inch. it turns out to have been pretty rotten inside. We figure the big storm from teo weeks ago weakened it, and the smaller, but still intense, storm we had yesterday finished it off. It missed our storage building by about one inch.  It was a great big tree, a good 4 ft. in diameter  I'm going to miss the shade  Anybody need some firewood? |

Simply beautiful. (Sorry about the tree) Thanks, it is a beautiful, but at times inconvenient, place. My family has been here since the 1700's, so we're a bit attached to it. The land next door was just logged, so it's kinda rough looking at the moment. |

Yea no kidding... it looks like your wife(?) could stand inside that thing and still have room to move around... surprised it was still standing at all. I have some rather large maples and oaks next to the house and every storm that comes by I hope the wind blows the trees away from the house. Good luck for clean up.
