I've been using Speedo Junior Hydrospex goggles for a while now, and they've worked OK. (I juse junior goggles because I have, I believe, the world's smallest head...for an adult.) They leak on occasion, and they give me nasty bruises, but other than that, they're OK. I used a blue pair in my last tri, and it made finding those orange bouys really difficult. Apparently, the blue tinted lenses turn the bouys black! I didn't know that, and I was frantic for most of the race because I thought I was WAY off course! (I followed the people in front of me, thinking they were off course as well...I had no other choice!)

Anyway, I found a pair of Aqua Sphere Seal XP goggles with tinted lenses (black, not blue). The seal seams to fit rather well. I'm thinking of buying them, but I wanted to see what you all thought first.

Has anyone used the Aqua Sphere Seal XPs? If you've got other favorites, what are they?

I have worn the Speedo Pro's for 15 years.

They fit OUTSIDE of the eye socket, and have cushion around the edge... so they are very comfortable.

Cheap-a$$ speedos, 3 for $12 at Sam's. I splurged on a pair of AquaSphere's Kaiman goggles, and they leaked like a sieve on me.

After going through 4 different types of goggles..Aqua Sphere's are the best!!!  No leakage even after sliding a bit.  I even paid full price...that says a lot!!

Speedo Swedish racing googles. Low profile, not gasket, but they really are comfortable.

OK, so my Speedos work on OCCASION...it's when they don't work that I get annoyed...hence me looking for new goggles.

I think I'm gonna give those AquaSpheres a try. I had AquaSphere Kaiman goggles once, and they also leaked really badly. However, these Seal XP dealios I'm looking at seem to be a bit different. They have a MASSIVE seal on 'em.

If those don't work, at least I've got LOTS of other options, thanks to you guys!

I've got the Seal XPs and have used them on about 3-4 OWS. I love the visibility but am not sure yet about the fit. I keep getting little leaks on the XPs and I am still trying to work out if it is a positioning thing or not. I know this sounds weird, but I think when I smile (or open my mouth really wide to breathe) that I loosen the seal a bit over my cheekbone.

I'm so unsure of them that I didn't use them in my last race. Maybe the store will let you try them on for a tight fit, and if they do, make sure you open and close your mouth a few times! LOL...seriously, I wish I had. Trying to decide whether or not I have $25 playtoy for my son!

Personally like the AquaSphere Kaiman goggles, they fit nicely around my face. Little issues with leakage for me.

My favorite Goddess? Naturally, thegoddess.

Oops, sorry you're asking about goggles. In that case Tyr Technoflex. For $9 you won't find a better goggle or value.

The smaller one. I never thought I'd like them, but, well, I just decided to give them a try, and I can hinestly say they're more comfortable than any other goggle (mask?) I've tried.

Aquasphere seal mask owner here - I've never had a problem with them leaking.  I have this version:

Good luck finding something that works for you.

OK, so my Speedos work on OCCASION...it's when they don't work that I get annoyed...hence me looking for new goggles.

Any goggle that (a) gives you bruises and (b) leaks is NOT, repeat NOT okay.

Ever.

As far as goggles, Aquashere might be too big for you, they were for me. I have a pair of speedos now that I've had for a while and a pair of TYR goggles that fit well.

When you are going goggle shopping, what you want to do is take the goggles out of the package and press the goggle portion gently onto your eye socket area as if you were going swimming. The ones that stay on and feel like they have a good seal WITHOUT using the straps is the best pair of goggles for you.

I find that even within the brand there are certain goggles that will fit and ones that will not. For me, the smaller the goggle size the better I like the goggles and the better they fit.

I've been using the Seal XPs.. small leaks now and then- I've also been trying to figure out exactly what causes it. I think it may happen when I occasionally exhale forcefully during a swim.

The leaks haven't been bad enough to make me change brands/styles, and the visibility has been great. I'd recommend with only minor reservations.
