Makes me miss the TdF. THe shots of the peleton going past the endless fields of sunflowers are always beautiful.

France has these fields ALL over for the sunflower oil production and livestock feed.

It's cool how they all face one direction, too.

I realize I'm anthropomorphizing, but it's like the closer one is pushing the other out of the way to get into the center of the picture, posing for you.

Awesome pics.

Awesome.  Reminds me of the Nana Mouskouri song "Le tournesol" from my childhood.

They face the sun.  They actually turn all day.

I have two really cool pictures (but not on this computer) from North Dakota where there was a huge storm cloud moving-in from the west in the afternoon and the flowers all turned from facing the west to facing the east.  One picture they're facing west, the next 15 minutes later, they face the other way.

Pretty cool.

Fields of crops like wheat, corn, sunflowers, etc.  They make some really nice pictures.

By the time I had my camera again they were past their prime:

Any tips on composition?

Looks like a corn field that hasn't had enough water.  How tall was it ?

Maybe 2-3 feet tall? Not very tall at all, seemed to be growing more "out" than "up",
All of our corn is tall and burnt (no rain) - has been visibly burnt yellow for months from the sun. It's sad
