So what's your favorite element?  I know people have really strong feelings about this and people are on edge so lets try to keep it civil.  Maybe it's a noble gas that doesn't react within anything or maybe it's lithium or sodium which are pretty volatile.  Maybe it's valuable like gold or platinum or maybe it falls apart like uranium, or maybe it's a weirdo like mercury.

I'd go with hydrogen since it's the one all the others came from, but I'm not a fan of swimming and it's a big part of water.  So I'll have to go with carbon.  It's the basis for all of life and you can't have carbon fiber without carbon.

mercury because its liquid at room temp (only 2 elements are) and it is VERY bad for you but it is pretty and silver.  it looks like nail polish.

Ditto on Mercury, I used to love playing with it in science class.

My second choice are any of the Alkali metals, but that's mostly because I'm a closet pyro and want to put them all in water.

Love me some F element Chemistry.  Though it wouldn't let me put in Promethium as well.

i had a research project in college where i worked with elemental sodium and it scared the crap out of me when i was alone in the lab.  the moisture in your skin is enough to cause it to burn you!!

Why do you hate Americium?

(thanks I'll be here all week)

I've always been partial to Krypton.  You know because of Superman and all.

Whoever added Honda is a genius...

I think AU is sort of a good fall back answer...

But Hg is probably the coolest.

I think pure alkali is pretty cool since it burns in the open air.

Vibranium is what Tony Stark called his new element that kept him alive. It was also used to make Captain America's shield.

If it's good enough for ironman and Captain Merica, it's good enough for me.

I'm kind of fond of Oxygen, and a bit surprised no one had added it yet. Maybe because it's so, well, common?

That's what I'm saying. Seems we have an elitist group of voters here, I'm thinking 2%ers.

maybe it's not on the list because elemental oxygen is dangerous, i only like oxygen as a molecule, really.

I have to agree with the H or C analysis Drew, I voted Carbon tho' 'cause this existence wouldn't be possible without it, and I'm SO LOVING my experience of late.

I Milla J. is on the list, but Love is not?

That's why I voted for lithium.  I think it has the best name of the alkali metals, so I prefer it over the others.
