I did my usual morning routine of a 2 minute plank, 37 pushups and 16 sit ups. At high noon, I hit the bike trail and did my 14 mile route. My goal is to get this route down to less than an hour. (I got it down to 61 minutes and change last year... ) Today's effort was 1:04, which was way better than I had expected as it started out rough, and I got caught by a train on the way back.
Part of what helped though was I got passed by a guy on a bike with aerobars, which is pretty unusual on this bike path. For the two miles or so I was near him, I was going about 20 seconds a mile faster. Alas, he got past the tracks before the gates went down and I didn't so I didn't see him again for about a mile. By then I was getting off the trail.
