This looks interesting. Got to read up on it a bit but it looks like it'd be worth creating something.

I think it would be a great addition.  There are times (lots of them actually) when I check facebook more than BT.  That's only because I'm a full-time student and that is where the students leave messages for each other--instead of email!

So, what was the verdict?  I'm interested...just want an app to show off my volumes...

x2.  You have something for twitter.  What do you have against FB?   This would be great if something can be created.

There is already a BT group on Facebook that is quite popular.  It currently has 628 members.  Here is the link for it:  http://www.facebook.com/groups.php?id=31407105&gv=2#/group.php?...

I'm a fairly recently-born FB addict ... and would love to see something like this too.  No, I don't have anything else constructive to say, just wanted to chime in a "me too, me too!" to the discussion.

The plan is to start with widgets/gadgets. There will be versions for Google, Blogger/Wordpress and Facebook, maybe MySpace.  Here are the first ones we have planned:

  • A race tracker that lists the number of each type of race you've done, like so (with links of some sort to your reports, or your race list here):
Run 5k
(8)
 Run 1/2 Marathon
 (2)
 Tri Sprint
 (3)
 Tri Olympic
(2)

  • A list of your upcoming races
  • Volume graph

I just found the BT group on Facebook as well and joined. I've only been a facebooker for about 2 weeks now, so my friend list is pretty small. I'm also writing a weekly training blog on my page. See the Facebook BT wall for info.

This will be great.

I'd like an application that lets me continue entering my workouts in the BT log, but displays the results on my Facebook page, in a box or on a tab. I'd like my Wall to show today's workout as a news event or a story automatically after I enter it in BT - that would be really cool. Basically the BT Blog entry, exported to a facebook view.

Tri 'n' Train is a facebook app that does allow you to enter workouts, but it doesn't have the ability to add it to a tab. It has some simple graphing displays, but nothing as nice as what BT can do. (Most importantly, however, Tri 'n' Train is NOT BT - it's simply not worthy!)

You can do that now. Create a Twitter account, enable it in your training log, and then configure your Twitter account to update your Facebook status.

I just did as mentioned, though I don't have a new workout until tomorrow.  Can you give me an idea of how the status will read?

I went to the twitter "help" page and searched for facebook.  It took me to a page that had the instructions.

This is great! While I do not need another account on a social network this makes it simple to update Facebook status with ones most recent workout. Very cool!

Click to see who the data looks on my newly created Twitter page. One can also check the data on my Facebook profile page.

Simple and cool!
