Oh, I look terrible in most race photos. I usually only get pictures of me running, and I'm usually making a weird face.

I don't get why people have an issue with race photos - you shouldn't look good. You should be working your butt off and in some semblance of pain. Good lord, your doing an event that 90% of the population won't even try. Give yourself a little break. You shouldn't look like you just jumped off of the runway or are walking the red carpet.

Maybe you shouldn't look good, but should you look like your about to kill somebody or you're about to die. I don't expect to look like a runway model in my race photos (or ever really), but the constant 'about to vomit' look isn't really something I want in a 5x7.

The problem is - generally - that most spectators are at the start/finish line. At the finish line of a tri - I am going to look spent, because it's a race and if I have anything left in the tank, I am going to be pizzed at myself for the rest of the day. Bike pictures are usually better, but it generally takes a bit of luck and a good photog to get a decent bike picture.

Yeah.  I just did some digging and found my bike pictures - they are on the whole better than the run pictures, but I look like I should be in a kid's triathlon.  Alas.  I do look more fit belly wise on the bike though.  So there is that.
