I hopped on the trainer this morning for 1:15 although my legs were not real happy about it after that test yesterday.  Planning to go for a trail run at lunch.  I wanted to go to the pool today but since our pool is closed for cleaning its going to be $10 at another one.  For a 40 minute swim that aint worth it so its going to be a bike/run heavy week for me.

I have to work today and I will be spreading mulch and doing the taxes all weekend.  I think the wife will take some sympathy on me and let me work out a couple times though.  Probably will be MIA from the boards though all weekend.

Everything is crazy for these last couple days before we head to the warmth of Florida.  I already got a bike reserved for 5 days and the roads there are great.  It is so nice to not ride on chip seal for a week let me tell ya.  Ocean swims are not bad either.  A 1 year old on a airplane has us both nervous though.

Have a good Easter weekend everybody.

Ran 4.5 last night, was actually feeling pretty good considering i had the power test 1 day earlier.

can't decide if i wanna run or ride tonight, i will probably run, either way it will be an hour.

Race tomorrow, 49 mile circuit race, should be about 2 hours, plus an hour or so warm up, then i have to decide what to do Sunday, i might get a long 8-10 miler in Sunday AM. Prior to Easter egg hunting.

Good luck tomorrow, Rudy - look forward to hearing all about it.

Beautiful day here, but red flags are out an it is white capping all the way to the horizon. I am a reasonably strong and confident swimmer, but we have decided to bag the swim for today. Might get it in tomorrow. Looks like margaritas instead. Oh well, I guess there are worse things....

That is hilarious.... Rode and swam. Going to get some work done. Then chores, including the daily disposal of a dead mouse, life in the country, ain't it grand.

Had a really good and hard ride yesterday.  Set some wattage personal bests.

Ran a little shorter this morning just because my running legs are a little worn down.  Standard long ride and long run this weekend.

Great power numbers on that ride Jason. Rockstar!

I've got a TT on that climb next weekend.  Should be fun to see how my power improvements translate from last year's time of 23:28.

For those of you who do time trials...what do you wear?

Since tri tops have become legal in USAC racing, that's what I've been using.  However I'm wondering if a simple UA short or long sleeve compression shirt would work better.  It's a tighter fit, it's got less/smaller seems, and no pockets.  I can also tuck it into my shorts rather than a tri top that can't do that.

I'd love to invest in a skin suit since time trialing is a regular part of my race season, but they're hard to find in stock locally, and I'm hesitant to order online unless I know the fit is ideal.

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend. Finally received my copy of the racermate RM 1 software, I guess in limited beta release. Spent about 45 minutes on the CT playing with it, but still intend to use erg mode and migrate to ergvideos. Speaking of which, fred what would be your advice for a first video?

Fred D - 2012-04-06 1:23 AM Well, light to no training for me this long weekend, as I work tomorrow and then work all weekend as well. Try to get in some treadmill runs and hopefully an hour of power biking tomorrow afternoon. What's everyone doing for training this weekend.
Got an hour's bike ride this morning and a 6mile run this afternoon. This evening is a friend's dad's 70th birthday so will be a bit of a heavy night!

Tomorrow will be an easyish 3mile run and another mate's birthday. Should I actually be able to get out of bed on Sunday I'll have a 9mile run and about a 2000m swim! Thankfully Monday is Easter Monday and I have the day off work!!

sounds good is there a do?
