338 miles for me as of today. Adding lots of speed and tempo back into my workouts and WOW, am I sore. Walking down stairs has presented some problems...

Great to hear! Congrats on your first marathon! Would you recommend that race/course?

Yes I would.
Lots of friendly and helpful volunteers, well organized event.
17 aid stations, 4 gel stations, start and finish close to lots of hotels and restaurants as well as Union Station.

Really nice route through downtown and then out to a garden location with a large reflecting pool to run by.
Not a huge marathon with just 3,000 in the full but still in a good sized city for making the trip into a destination for other interests.

At 367 for 2014 after today's speed work (WU, 8X400 between 6-6:15 pace with 200 meter recoveries), CD). Topped today's workout off with a 2 hour bike ride after. Tired...could use a nap. Great job to all of you!

At 540.  Races have really cut into my volume.  Was sick and tapering for a race then a week of gradual recovery.  I'm adding more swim and bike into the mix so it will be very difficult to keep this pace.  I'd love it if I could keep the miles up and will try but keeping uninjured is the primary goal.

I love that line - starting to feel like a runner. The night after my 6th mary, someone asked me if I was the runner that they saw in the neighborhood and I still didn't feel like a runner. But you are a runner. Great job on the mileage!

I'm still behind that pesky rabbit. At 263 miles but son's baseball season ended this weekend so maybe I'll run out of excuses and get to work. 4 races in the last three weeks (2 5Ks and 2 10Ks) and got 3 PRs. Excited.

Steve and Mary, great job on the marathons!!! Mary, so glad that your first one was so successful; you've come a long way Baby. Steve, glad you are recovering and feeling better.

339 miles after today's run, so I passed the 1/3 mark a few days ahead of schedule. I'm doing Shane's April - May run group and the two challenges complement each other quite nicely.

Well my running was a little slow this last week. Been trying to take it easy because I've have a mild case of shin splints so only have 19 miles in the last week and a half. But on a higher note I had my first Tri the past weekend and it went great! I'm totally hooked. This Sun is my first HM. I really excited now.....Well anyway 319+19=338 1000-338=662 togo

Quick check in, I am still moving along and adding up the miles. I seem to be falling off a little from month to month as tri training picks up but I somehow still managed to stay over 100 for April. For the year I am currently sitting at 431 miles, hoping I can push for higher monthly totals as I get closer to July and August.

keep on, keeping on!

I am at 426 miles for 2014. Happy with it. Added in lots of biking and running and actually hit over 26,000 meters on my swims this month. Just need to get outside on the bike! Weather here is still CRAPPY!

Hit 400km yesterday (just shy of 250 miles).  I'm about 80 miles behind the bunny, but should start closing the gap soon.

121+114+108+93 = 436

April was a weak month for a lot of reasons, but I'm almost halfway there anyways.

Whoa, everyone is doing so well. Can't say the same for myself. Work on our rentals has really interfered with my running, my life, my sanity. Around 286 miles right now. So my challenge to myself is doing some running every day this week - even its a mile or 2.

At 601 miles.  I feel like I've really been battling my schedule to get my workouts in.  Would love to be able to get in two short runs a week in the morning hours.  I think that would really help.  I have just never been a morning person.

Me either, I tried all week to get an AM run in. Doesn't happen unless I am meeting people.

Thank you, it has been a great journey and I look forward to keeping it up. The aerobic difference in my endurance has been so much better this year. That has been a lot of fun and very encouraging.

Been a while since I checked in.  Had a rough few weeks with traveling then not just feeling well.  I'm really hoping to recover this week, I have a marathon on Sunday.

I'm at 615.88 miles for the year.  Also had my longest run ever of 26.76 miles (a few weeks ago).  Ran the entire length of the Green Circle trail that goes around Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Alrighty here is my quick update:

Ran Boston while sick: Race Report

I am at 1229 miles.

I have surgery on Monday and will be out for anywhere from 2-6 weeks (gotta keep my head on a swivel so that bunny doesn't catch up!)

The recovery time will dictate the rest of my summer racing season

Great job everyone, keep it up!

just read your race report, WOW! Great effort. While being sick. And your probably right the sickness was definitely because of a lack of beer! There is never a good enough reason to give up beer!

I think quite truly for the first time I 'get it'. It's not just about the fitness. It's not just about the great little endorphin rush as you hit 5, 10, 15 miles...its not just the medal at the end.
