Great job!!

I've got another week or so before triple digits. 8 miles today. 18 miles tomorrow.

Long day at work today, have my 60 pages of reports done for Monday though. And got home just almost in time to finish a run before it got dark. The snow had melted off the road enough to make it not icy for the run. It is a pretty nice loop steep uphill for 3/4 mile and then gradual slope back down for the next 4 miles or so. Or ya can reverse it and spend most of the run going gradually up hill and then control the run down the steep hill.

Chock up another 10 miles for me puts me at 59/90.

The bike calls me for tomorrow and then next week I am out of town a few days so my miles will likely not be as good with all the driving. I kind of took that into consideration with the total though. Anyway off to watch a movie with the kids.

Oh my Christmas cold weather gear is really nice, pants that dont let the wind blow through them. It is only 28 F out so that and a sweatshirt, gloves and lite hat was perfect. If it gets cold I have a matching top to make it nice and toasty. That combo should be good down to about neg 20 F. Although then I might wimp out and hit the dreadmill.

Okay... so, I feel pale in comparison to some of you... but I did my long run for the week today.  A paltry 5.61 miles.  It was a great evening... which has been rare here lately.

Keep up the great work everyone.

D it is all good. Your workout logs look jam packed you are gona make great progress if you dont overdue it 8). 4 months ago a 1 mile run was a long run for me, oh wait thats right I wasnt running at all at that point. Then my first 5k without walking was uber, etc. 10 miles for me today is still like wow for me, did I really do that?

Although when I look at some of these folks who have been training for 2 + years ya it seems pretty amazing, and it is. Triathalon training is a path, a way of being in the world, a lifestyle, a journey. We are all in our own place on the path and if we stay on the path and continue to work at it we will improve... and that's what makes it fun. Even if you tell you wife you ran a 5k and are beat on one day and say you got a great time in your first triathlon and she looks at you with one of those "I am trying to appreciate what you have accomplished, but I really have no idea so um well, that's nice dear."

At any rate grats and keep at it, the trick is to not attempt to build Rome in a day, that would cost alot of money and where would you put it.

Running, biking and swimming really long distances, losing 30 pounds and amazing one's friends is way better than watching whatever the sitcom of the moment is where that guy cheats on that girl and she finds out and gets mad at him and they have a falling out, but then get back together and then he cheats on her and they have a falling out and then they get back together and then that other one where that girl cheats on that guy......

Baowolf... you are correct.. it is all good.  I am actually coming off of a bad groin pull that was caused from overtraining and over doing it.  Thus, why I've been focusing on slower and longer workouts that will create a better base for me.  Running is also my week point.. I'm a short, stubby, dwarf of a guy... My legs are like little sawed off tree trunks.  Very strong, but very slooooow :D

Keep having fun training.

With running focus on the turnover, 90 (right foot) full strides per minute. I see folks in running magazines overstriding and each heal stike drops them some speed. Granted they are like gazells and it slows them down to like 5 min per mile faster than me, but ...

I found it interesting that you run 90 strides per min and ride a bike at 90 rotation cadence per minute. Something about that symetry zi find interesting. Oh well bike day for me today. I will have to see on the drive home from church if the roads have thawed enough to ride outside. I have great respect for skinny tires on poor traction surfaces after my recent crash.

Nice roads out there, the entire world is covered in 1/8 to 1/4 inche of ice. There were two cars off the road, like really off the road on the way in to church. Definatly not an outdoors kind of day for sports other than skating today. I don't have run on ice spike show things yet, my Tri budget is kinda overdrawn for now.

Hi guys - don't forget to update the spreadsheet tonight:

I am ashamed to admit that I didn't add more miles today like I had planned - Had a reallllly long night and a not good morning so I had to ride the stationary bike because it was about all I could handle.  Little too good of a party last night.

Today was the type of day that make the Bay Area one of the most expensive place to live. Mid 50's sunny, absolutely beautiful running conditions. 18 miles, a couple of hills. Just gorgeous.

I miss winter sometimes, but I don't miss the ice.

66 percent here run done here.

But today was 40 mile bike day today, on the trainer.. But, I did get these wireless headphones with plug in fm trasmitter so I watched some flicks. Low energy day today, but no partying to blame for it. Took a nap for 3 hours was just ... tired.

I think this was a question earlier in the thread and had to  do with how you are accessing the spreadsheet - I would look through the thread again.
