I paid on site and haven't gotten the email for photos yet.

My photos are pretty good but my husband took many that are much better. I love my finisher photo with my whole family who was working finish line...very special.

Those of you who like stats you should check out this on ST. Shows how you moved up or down through the day.

This is what I learned about me....
Interesting stats from IMFL:

I passed 50 folks in T1, 120 on bike, 36 in T2 and 78 passed me on the run

Women in my AG
I passed 7 in T1, 15 on the bike, 2 in T2, and 6 passed me on the run

Women
I passed 23 in T1, 65 on the bike, 14 in T2, and 48 passed me on the run

I placed best of all women in T2 at 240th and 243rd in T1; with bike split of 374th of all women

Overall I swam 10.9% of my IM time, biked 44.2%, ran 42.8%, and spent 2.1% of the time in transitions

How's everyone's recovery going?

I did my first run today post IM. Felt much better than my first run after my first IM. Haven't yet biked or swam. I'm in MN helping out my parents and my Dad starts chemo tomorrow. Glad I can focus on my family during my recovery as it works out well.

Well, I was VERY sore immediately after the race, maybe lasting till Wednesday.  Thursday was the first good day and I ran a short 2.5 miles.  I think my shoes were too tight on race day and the top of my foot became very tender after the recovery run.  Saturday I rode 25 miles at an easy 18 mph pace.  Felt really good.  Today swam for 45 minutes at a pretty hard pace.

So, I think I'm on the road to recovery as my foot is definitly improving.  I think I'll take another week off of it to make sure I can start training for my 12/11 marathon.

When i looked through the photos in the lost and found, i found pictures of Bar, Phatknot (I think), Jasha, and one other person, I can't remember who off the top of my head.  If anyone wants directions to the photos let me know.

I haven't got my link yet.

Went for a short run yesterday and a good swim tonight.  One of the gals I know is a great swimmer (national masters champion in the 1500 m) and she is doing a winter masters/stroke correction session.  DH and I went, he really needs to improve on his stroke and I have a couple of things I should work on (namely a cross over and I play catch-up a little too much).  Enjoying the not training for anything time, but I'll probably set a goal of PR-ing in the half marathon distance for the spring.

Thanks for posting that link, Kathy, it's really cool.

Interestingly, I never "lost" spots.  Out of the water I was in 1,597th place, 1390 out of T1, 649 off the bike, 639 out of T2, and finished in 630.

I found the "lost and found" pics of me too.  The run one is pretty good.  I bought the finish line pics on site, but not sure I will buy anymore.  My family and friends got some good pics, so I may just put those in my album.  I have scrapbooks full of all my races and am doing an online on for IMFL.

Did my first post IM run last night - 2 miles on the treadmill.  Felt pretty good.  Guess I'll start working runs back in and hope to fit in cycling and swimming at some point as well.  Probably won't swim much through this winter just because I don't like being cold.

pictures were great! I am frickin getting depressed from workout withdrawals....

Here's what I got out of that smartly done spreadsheet (note the **)

Overall 256/2402 89%ile
Male 234/1832  87%ile
Div 50/403 88%ile

-3rd slowest swim in the top 256
** I passed 370 in T1 **
-I passed 1037 from swim to end of bike and only 41 during run
-Improved 1078 places from swim to finish (1335 to 256)
-My transitions were relatively fast as I suspected

This all tells me the swim and run need to be attended to. Bigger bang for the buck may come from the run.

Great detailed stats on the race in the link above! Thanks Kathy.

Interesting stats for me:

I was passed by 62 racers in T1 (yes, I really took my time), I passed 13 back on the bike (saved my legs for the run), I then passed 3 more racers in T2, and not leaving it all out on the bike paid off as I passed 177 racers on foot!

What was even more interesting after seeing the entire list was that Jen DiCarlo and I practically finished at the same time! Jen, we only finished 10 seconds apart! Cool

Congrats again to everyone! It's been an interesting experience and very cool sharing it with you all. I'm still writing up my race recap. I'll post a link here when it's done.

So at the finisher expo, they had a very small number of Mens finisher jackets (except in sizes small or XS).  The associates told me (numerous times) that they were "shorted" a bunch of boxes of mens jackets from K swiss and they'd be sending out an email to all participants allowing us to order a finisher jacket online, before they'd go on sale to the general public (via shopironman.com).  Obviously this was quite dissappointing after waiting (what seemed like forever) in the line, day after the race, with my 1 year old son...

Has anyone received this email or heard any news on what's going on?  I've emailed numerous contacts at shopironman.com and Ironman - with no response as of yet.  Just curious if I'm missing something (which may very well be the case).

Congrats to all the Finishers!!! The "Ironman" Bug has bitten me and it's off to Ironman Louisville in August 2011!!! (still not full in case anyone's interested)...

I haven't received an email to that effect.

I think I'll be heading down to Louisville as well.

Yes, Lara the warehous manager responded to my inquiry stating that an email should be going out at the end of this week with information on placing a special order for the Men's Finisher Jacket.  They were making sure there were enough actual jackets to allow for the special order for having the stitching done for the logo ... etc.

I am anxiously awaiting the chance to order the jacket as well.

Has anyone else not got their download key for their photos yet?  I tried e-mailing them on Monday (the address that was provided with the finisher photos) and haven't heard back yet (I also indicated that there were 3 photos of someone else assigned to me.  They haven't been removed yet.  I want my photos darnit!

We haven't gotten ours yet either.

BTW, I haven't gotten the e-mail from ASI yet either.  Frankly I liked the process and the quality of the pictures from IMLP in 2008 much better.  Prepaid at registration, picked up a memory stick with the pictures the day after the race.  Pretty simple1

Briana I saw you at J&A's scoring the free gear while I was waiting in line. I would have said hi, but you left before I got out of the line. Definitely cool to hear Macca's perspective as the race unfolded. It's hard to imagine actually "racing" at that distance.
