Nice pink ... should I take that to mean sarcasm for my line? Hm, race as in like race it, or waddle along like a sick zombie as usual?

Anyway I got in no problem, should be fun, not sure how I'm gonna execute it.

In other news I got a sports massage today. A real one. The pain, the grunting, the groaning, the wailing ... and that was just the therapist.

So that's 7/7 for the Jogo challenge too. I'm counting the massage. It is a doing that is a very necessary not-doing. Also, I was forking sweating and pretty nearly crying. I've done easier races!

Started my day with a 1:06 ride. That is a PB for that route by about 6 minutes! Woohoo. I put in my training log that it was probably part wind at my back and part Fi. Anyway I'll take it. Now off to packet pickup, pick up my new (matching) helmet and normal Saturday shopping.

I dreamt of you last night. I was in your world trying to help you with Mutti n such. However, it did involve an under water crossing to get to your "compound" and there were BIG cats (cheetas, lions, panthers) there. Some caged, some not. It was so vivid that when I woke I felt like I'd been with you n Mutti. So I prayed for you before I went back to sleep.

30 mile bike ride this morning late. I took a short break at the one hour mark to pee and chat with a friend (I used her restaurant, so I felt slightly obligated). I took a Clif shot and some water, and I actually was glad to get back on the bike. I count that as a small victory.

It goes without saying that it was windy out there. Cool

I'm 7 for 7 with my JOGO and so far I am 7for 7 without chocolate and haven't really missed it yet

For all of those that have asked my work thing went well thanks. Been told to palm some things off to other people and been given permission to say no to stuff that I don't have the time to do. We now also have a plan to delegate the two biggest wasters of my time to others which is a big relief. I am now on a weeks holiday to finish some of my papers for uni.

1 hour massage this morning and 1 hour walk tonight. I'd say it's been a pretty balanced day :D

SO last night's Jogo was kind of an unorthodox one---I was at our local triple A Baseball team--the Sacramento RiverCats' game; it was the annual "Zoo Night" which meant that zoo staff got free tickets, and that they needed a certain zoo mascot (frog) to be there. As a result, I was frogging it up for an hour and a half (dancing, walking around with giant feet, SWEATING, etc)......jogo done. Laughing

On another note, I am going to be training at the end of this week to become a back up supervisor---which means a slightly bigger paycheck whenever I am needed to "supervise"...Yay me!

s/b/r today. Nothing hard, and it wasn't supposed to be. Learning to keep it down better instead of pushing it everysingletime, by intensity or duration.

10K went very well. I'm shocked. Yay me. Run/walked before and after to hit a 2:15 long run which was scheduled today ... so like a LSD with a nice peppy tempo thrown in near the beginning after a warmup.

I also took 50 pictures (yes, even during the 10K! not a race!). I have no idea how that happens ... well ... piglets and such interesting things abounded.

It was also by a long shot the absolute best-organized race I've ever been to, in every detail from A-Z.

P.S. And this in Indonesia. I didn't think that was possible. NOTHING is well-organized here, EVER, nor on time (even when it would be, the thousand factors like traffic, the dependence on so many different entities/parties to put an event on, etc. usually means at least one ball gets dropped). I think I experienced a bizarre time warp miracle here.

Seriously, 37 years and I've never seen anything like that here.

Got my jogo in today with a swim before work, a cycling commute, and a short run after work.  Weather is supposed to be nice for the next few days so I have to get out on my bike, I've been slacking....

Tom, I am so sorry.  I am not going to make it.  It is an 1.5 hour drive and I must've shut off my 5:30am alarm.  I had problems with allergies last night and didn't fall asleep until after 3am.  I'll be cheering virtually, as we all are!! You are going to ROCK Hawk Island!!

GO all racing MANATEES!!!

I tried changing my profile pic.  I am still seeing the Happy Feet penguin.  Is anyone seeing something different and if so, does it look okay, like I don't have some sort of huge head on a teeny body or something like that or it is not all scary huge face?

It looks great! I was going to comment on it because you look so happy. (I think you might have to clear your cache in order to update the picture on your computer.)

What does "clear your cache" mean?  I have tried re-logging in and restarting my computer.   I have changed it again.  I cannot view my Big Sur photos on my computer so I am guessing off of tiny photos through browse.  I remember the pic with my medal was a little too much me.  I wanted a running photo anyway.

Generally hitting the F5 button will do the trick.

BTW, the running pic is too cool!!!!!

F5 worked!  I am blurry though.  Oh well, you all get the general idea.  I am no longer a cartoon character!! (although, I have been turned into a verb).
