Back in the USA in time for my 14th anniversary today! Just made it in time, but I am worn out from the travel. Isn't the 14th supposed to be SRAM? 15th is DI 2 right? Happy Anniversary Doug! I think you'd have to ask Tony about the gifts. ;-) 14th is power-meter 15th is Di2 |

Champion 9060 Charlottesville, Virginia | Subject: RE: swbkrun Mentor Group II- CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!! Just got back from Colorado springs. I ran the Manitou Incline up Pikes Peak. Pretty awesome experience, though would have been nice to get more than 4 hours acclimation to the altitude. Took about 35 minutes to go up 1 mile, my HR was maxed just walking. We took a separate path down which was 3 miles long, we did that in 24 mintues, the guy I was running with was a pretty experienced trail runner, lol I was scared to death at the pace we were doing coming down. Couple more cool pictures here. http://www.inclineclub.com/incline/ |

Elite 4108 Calgary,AB,Canada | Subject: RE: swbkrun Mentor Group II- CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!! Current state of the Incline The Incline is not open to the public for any use — PERIOD! That people are going up the Incline only means they are trespassing on private property! Indeed, the Incline has been clearly posted “No Trespassing” since June of 2000. Talk of the Incline being “closed” is a misnomer in that something that is not open can not be closed. However, rather extensive and ongoing efforts are taking place to work with the owners of the Incline to get it open to the public. Please see the section “Efforts to Open the Incline to the Public” below for details |

The Manitou Incline was built as a cable car to carry materials to build pipelines on Pikes Peak. After the pipelines were finished it was turned into a tourist attraction. After a rock slide damaged a section of track in 1990, the Manitou Incline was closed down and the rails removed. Some locals started using it for a tough workout. A portion of it is private property and it’s illegal to hike up the ties of the old cable car. That hasn’t stopped it from becoming the most popular hike in the Colorado Springs area. Saw another article, they say Feb 2011 it will be open to the public, seems like kind of a strange situation. Anyways still was a pretty cool experience, even moreso since I was breakin the law.... (should be said like Judas Priest sings it) |

HAHAHA, Sam will get a kick out of that picture, you haven't seen me lately, my beard trimmer died a few months ago so I have been letting my goatee get a bit crazy, and recently had an language barrier issue with a lady at the barber shop and she cut my hair pretty short. |

Expert 945 Auburn AL | Subject: RE: swbkrun Mentor Group II- CLOSED FOR BUSINESS!!! Happy UPS day to me! UPS brought me a new trainer today. Got the fluid trainer with watt indicator thanks to a member of the MG's recommendation. Pretty cool ... didn't realize how strong my bike was. Might have to find another computer with room for an extra digit Also looks like I sold off one of my first pieces from my arsenal (7mm mag) to use toward the purchase of a new bike. Getting close. Figured I would sell off some of the STUFF that is laying around not in use and put the cash up for something I will use. Anyone need any guns, fishing rods, golf clubs? |

Got any small women's hunting rifles? Don't even know what we use (we shoot poppers) but my field training folks would positively die if I showed up with my own gun one day, ha ha!! We load 3 poppers in there, don't know if it holds more. I'm pretty much a gun-tard. |
