Why unreasonably excited??  What is this take out of which you speak???

It's the last night that my parents are in town visiting so we're going out to a chop house for dinner.  YUM!!

Cheers TAN. Got my butt handed to me again by the California seismic design test. I never not passed a test in my life and I think this is the second time I didn't get the required marks. Frustrating since I know how to do it, just not enough time...Anyway, it's over so it's a weight off my shoulders. Treated myself to In & Out double double ( protein style) and a bourbon during MNF. Hope everyone had a good day.

oh em GEE does it take a long time to buy a car.  like, once i know what i want, where it was, and how i plan to pay for it, it's STILL almost a 2 hour process.

AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT.

The last time I bought a car was like 8 years ago. It was very quick. The conversation went something like this:
Me: I want to buy this car.
Dealer: OK what color would you like ?
Me: Whats the cheapest ?
Dealer: White.
Me: OK White.
Dealer: How many doors would you like ?
Me: Whats the cheapest ?
Dealer: 3.
Me: OK 3.
Dealer: What size motor would you like ?
Me: Whats the cheapest ?
Dealer: X (I can't remember the exact size)
Me: OK X.
Dealer would you like to take it for a drive ?
Me: What for ? It goes right ?
Dealer: Yes.
Me: OK Sold. When can I have it by ?
Dealer: Is 2 days ok ?
Me: See you in 2 days.

white ALWAYS has a surcharge now (i bought white) because of the titanium in the paint.  whomp whomp.  this guy had to read the manuals to me, sign here, sign this, watch this video, cashier, let me show you how to connect your phone to the bluetooth in the car, let me teach you how to adjust your mirrors, get out of here dude i have driven probably 100 different cars in the past 5 years i will be fine figuring out how to use this one.

I guess I'm what you'd call a low end user. All I want is that it gets me from A to B. Windshield wipers when its raining and heat in the winter are nice though.

On a more manly note than jazz hands, I just bought my oldest boy his copy of Call of Duty Ghosts that came out today. Doubt I will see him tonight and I am 100% positive all his chores will be done and homework completed by the time I get home tonight!

I know, right. You sat there all night talking about your multiple Ironman races, messing up trivia questions, and then subsequently hitting on me after Monica left.

Finally back from NYC and supporting a friend and future family at the marathon.  Worst high dollar food was the Eataly from Mario Batili.  Everyone said the lower level pizza and pasta area was a must.  The WORST pizza ever.  The worst service in NYC that we had and you sat in crappy plastic chairs on tables the rocked back and forth.

The marathon was a blast to see and cheer for everyone on the course.  One of the runners we were supposed to cheer for only got to mile 12 and pulled out for cramping.  The other two had good days.  One was a BQ time with 10 minutes to spare, but her goal is still Kona as an age group qualifier.  The other was just there for an amazing event and to take it all in and didn't care what her time was.  She was smiling every time we saw her.  Jumped on different subway stops to see the runners.

Good event from what we heard from all of the runners we talked to that day and at the airport the next day.

Work geek alert!!! - It will be interesting to see how the new Gluten Free Threshold rules will affect restaurants and how it will be enforced.

Jazz hands or blades?  Yes, there is a difference.

Are you referring to the "less than 20 parts per million" thingie-ma-bob-ruling?

I did not know restaurants were included... are they? That would be SUPER AWESOME for me, but pretty much suck for them. EVERYTHING in restaurants contains gluten. And even when it doesn't, most restaurants put a legal disclaimer that it "might" because it's cooked with shared surfaces and utensils.

But PF Changs separates everything - cooking surfaces, utensils, even plates. They rock.
