OK, how fortunate...

I did one brick each week for the whole month (May 6, 11, 18, and 29) - not because I was planning on using them, but for their training usefulness - when I put those in the spreadsheet, I'm over 98% total.

A little sumthin' sumthin' tomorrow and I'll be good.

Great Job !!
I think we all should make sure we claim our bricks and anything else that counts. Even if you did not want it for a benefit for yourself use it as a benefit to help the team.
Great job everyone.

Yeah!  I know you didn't want to claim them, but it helps us out a lot.

That a girl! Way to claim those bricks! I'm thinking about claming a brick as riding my trainer and watching tv at the same time. I have a 6 mile run planned for this evening. I will get in about 50 on the bike with a 5 mile brick tomorrow. That will give us an extra brick for the week and will put me at 100+% for the swim and bike. This has been my biggest training month evveeerrrr!! Let's ride this pony hard all the way to the finish!

Okay team, tomorrow I should hit 100% on the bike and swim. I'll be trying to also get in some wralk time but I may not make it in that area. I have logged several bricks so hopefully that will help my percentages.

I'm riding tomorrow, but I won't be able to log anything until Sunday when I am back.  Just so you don't think I'm a total slacker.

Does anyone know what the deadline is for logging workouts? I'm assuming that we have at least until tomorrow? Thanks.

I have a little over 10 miles in the run to log from the last 2 days. Won't hit my goal for the run but should put me right at or over 100% overall I'd think.

I believe we have until midnight on Sunday to log our last workouts.

I made it to 100% across the board.

I got out and did my 50 mile ride. This was my last training ride for my metric century next Sunday. I got rained on for 20 of the 50 miles but it was actually a good ride. I used the saddle from my race bike, stood on the pedals frequently, stopped every 10-12 miles, and slathered on chamois Buttr at the pee breaks and it worked out pretty well. Between the strong winds I fought the last several weeks and the rain today I feel like there's little else the ride next week can throw at me.

Thanks, Nicole, for sharing the pix. I never think about bringing my camera on my rides, but I've enjoyed seeing yours.

Thanks for the great month, Hipsters! Sorry I didn't get quite to 100%, but I had an excellent training month.

I wasn't able to make my swim goal but I made to over 100% total, I think.  That week being sick sucked for the swim but I was able to get the rides and runs in.

I hope everyone has a great month of training in June!!!

Thanks for the push guys. I rode 65 miles yesterday and bricked it with a 3.5 mile run. I was gassed for the rest of the day, but still had to get the yard work done. Thanks again for a great month and I hope everyone does well this season.

Okay team, I worked my $%* off yesterday and got my swim and bike to 100%. Was shy on the run part but with the bricks that I did this week, the bonus pt me over 100%. Yahoo, I didn't let you or myself down.

Great job everyone this month no matter what the finish is. Thanks for letting me be a part of a great team.

  1. Central: 102.53%
  2. East: 98.1%
  3. West: 97.23%

Have a great summer!

Guys, I came up short and I'm sorry for bringing the average down.  My goals could have been a little more realistic, I suppose.  I started this in March and my May goals were roughly double my April totals.  I'm kind of proud of what I managed, but very disappointed I didn't come through.  Had I pushed harder, budgeted time better, etc.  I could have.  In June, I'm going to challenge myself only and make my goals for May.

Great job everyone and thanks for all the encouragement this month.

We're still waiting for official results from gillyfev, but my unofficial tally shows:

  1. Central: 103.44%
  2. East: 98.50%
  3. West: 97.10%
  4. International: 90.55%

Second place is great!

According to the rules we may not really be hit with a penalty:

"For this challenge there will be one winner (the top team) and one losing team (bottom place). The winning team get to display the signature line "My team rule the world -- we won the May challenge". The losing team will have to change their avatar to a picture that represents the location of the winning team."

That's my read of this.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to drop by, let you know the results are in and explain why things are quite so different from your expectations.

http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=113273&posts=20#M1439803

The big difference is because there was an error in your spreadsheet that wasn't capping people's totals at 110% -- when that was corrected it brought your overall average down by a lot. I'm really sorry that this wasn't correct for you the whole way through (although it only really came into play in the last week).

Any questions, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to explain.

Well, that's kind of annoying, but not really the end of the world.  Sorry I couldn't do more on my run goal to help the team out.

Here's my new avatar.  It's the capital building in Madison, WI.  I went to college there and love the building.  Hopefully that counts.

Ugh! here I thought that it just wasn't capped this month.  I wasn't so upset about my not meeting my swim goal since I went over on the others   Oh well!    I'm sorry!

What do I have to change my avatar to, something that isn't related to the east coast?
