What an amazing race; would have been great to see Simon take home another gold but amazing to see him take silver eight years after his gold.

Honestly I had higher hopes for Reed than 31st! Not a bad showing from Shoemaker for being a long shot.

Watching that from the side- that was an amazing push - looked like he found an extra gear for 150 yards.

What a great race, as the commentary said, that was good for the sport.

Props to Simon, bit that's what I call a kick!

My favorite part?  Seeing the DFL guy from Canada totally ham (Canadian bacon?) it up in the finish chute!

From now on, I'm going to do like Simon and with about 200 yards to go, throw off my hat and go for it.

A great event.

I guess that would depend on where you live.  Here it started at 8:00 pm Mountain Time - broadcast on CBC.  I flipped to NBC during the commercials only to find NBC airing "Everybody Loves Raymond" - how disappointing.  CBC rocks.

Wow! What a race.

Here's a recap from the CBC (or at least the means by which you can find the recap).

Anybody read about the "controversial" tactics of working as a team?

Man, I'm just watching this on the internet, and I REALLY hate the commentator that is writing the text messages.

Nothing about pace, temperatures, just snide comments about "Pretenders making it interesting" and "Hey... red might be swiss... no belgium.."

Can't they find someone half competent to comment on this race?
