Plainsman AU - 2010-10-14 3:47 PM Happy UPS day to me!

UPS brought me a new trainer today.   Got the fluid trainer with watt indicator thanks to a member of the MG's recommendation.  Pretty cool ... didn't realize how strong my bike was.  Might have to find another computer with room for an extra digit

Also looks like I sold off one of my first pieces from my arsenal (7mm mag) to use toward the purchase of a new bike.  Getting close.  Figured I would sell off some of the STUFF that is laying around not in use and put the cash up for something I will use.  Anyone need any guns, fishing rods, golf clubs?

What kind?

Yeah, what kind? Got any small women's hunting rifles? Don't even know what we use (we shoot poppers) but my field training folks would positively die if I showed up with my own gun one day, ha ha!! We load 3 poppers in there, don't know if it holds more. I'm pretty much a gun-tard.

We don't shoot poppers down here in AL  Hey I think I saw where you said you did hunt tests.  I have trained my last 2 labs all the way thru to using hand signals etc.  My previous lab (when I was really into it) was a great dog and I was going to hunt test her but she got killed by a horse.

Anyway I'll save the rest of this post for the dog training forum

Need some MG help!
Signed up today for a 15K run at the end of October that lots of folks do in costume.  I would love to run in costume, but don't want to fight something all morning that will create issues when running.  Being a huge sweat person....I am thinking that any mask / wig / kind of thing would really tick me off after a while.

Any suggestions???  or do I just forget about the costume and just buckle down and see what kind of splits I can lay down?

Dino

If you're worried about sweating in OCTOBER IN WI.....How about going as THE STREAK?   or maybe Michael Phelps in a speedo???

don't run a pace that will create issues when having fun!

how about you get your running shoes and your favorite pair of shorts.  then we each get to pick out three more item's you have to wear.  everybody gets to throw in one item and we'll vote on the top three at the beginning of next week.   and that's all you get to wear for the race.

this has the potential to be awesome.

Very cute pup, Suzy.  My running club coach just got a Cockapoo (Nugget) a couple of months ago.   She just started him in obedience training....the instructor told her Nugget was so cute, it was illegal....

Anyway,  nice choice!

I just ordered a pair of these in the "blackout" for a patient.  kind of cool and wouldn't have to actually wear a costume.

Tuxedo  and then just have some fun. ( of course still wear your running shoes and not dress shoes.)

Red I thought you were suggesting the name "Tuxedo" to Suzy for her new dog! I guess I should try and follow the threads better.

The potential to be awesome is there but that would require a great degree of trust.  I imagine I would end up running in a pink speedo, Dolly Parton sized strap on's, and a Devo flowerpot Helmet!

IMO....Name has to "tri" related.  I vote you start a naming thread on Cup of Joe and see what great ideas are out there.  For example, Zipp...GU....Roo (that's your bike, sorry!)....Desoto....etc.

Happy Anniversary Doug.

Very cute pup Suzy.

Can't help on the costume.   My last costume was not politically correct,a nd it backfired on me.
But I do like letting the mg decide on 3 items.

Happy Friday mg!

Cute dog Suz!

You know lots of peep are calling their dogs typical people names like "Bob" or that kind of thing.

How about "Miles" or "Max" Or "Zoot"
or "Transition" and you can short it to 'Tranny'
or 'tadpole' shorten it to Tad - minnow and a tadpole.

There was a guy who did the IM Marathon wearing this exact outfit....no lie, cowboy boots and all.  The good news is I was able to pass him!

Letting the man name the dog since I picked him out.  For a guy that was dead set against another pet in the house, he's very excited which I love to see....leading candidate is Cooper, but he has the weekend to lock in on something better.

Good luck racers!  While you're toeing the line, I'll be at the Packer game in 65F and sunny weather.
