BigDH - 2012-04-05 9:20 AM They also have that problem with the walk out. No weigh in this episode, so maybe just trying to get more mileage out of one episode.

This.

Do we seriously believe that rumor?

Do we seriously believe that rumor?

With Conda and Jeremy as 2/3 of the remaining players?  I'd be more surprised to find out that it wasn't true.

But don't they WANT to stay on the ranch????

Mark needed to keep the facial hair...just shorten it.

Chris doesn't look that great IMHO.

Everyone else looked pretty good.  Even Conda.

I was mad it was only an hour...dang it.

Conda still looks like a very large girl.

i thought Chris looked  GREAT. She's 42 right? Now she looks her age. We joked watching it though that if her house is in such poor condition, she won't be to afford to keep coloring her hair.  Makes we want to go out and color my hair now. But not just any brand would do. I'm now a CLAIROL guy. Tongue out

Buddy looked good too. I like him best out of everyone left. His Zumba stuff was awesome.

Kim really needs to lose that dark makeup.

Chris looked SO MUCH BETTER! It's all about hair color. Grey hair ages a person 10-15 years in a heartbeat. Why be grey when you can buy stuff at the store to fix it?

Kim looked amazing.

I about fell out of the chair when I found out Chris is 44.  I thought she was mid-60's.  I am older than her.  Couldn't believe she wasn't at least 20 years older.

I'll say it again, that I have a bad feeling for her and Santa....something's not quite right there.

What gave that way?  The codependency comment from episode 1?  The financial issues?

Okay, that preview for next week is CRAZY.  What the heck happens?  It's a bit ironic and childish actually after that whole White House thing.  I mean, talk about excuses...they basically decide that some event is worth walking out on a commitment?  Sounds like an excuse to me!  After they were all SO excited to meet the First Lady and accept her praise...they do something like THAT.

Now we know who is left.  Buddy, Kim, Conda, Jeremy, and Mark.  Other than Conda, NONE of those remaining players is a mega drama queen or trouble maker.  Really makes you wonder what happened.

It says production shut down...but doesn't say it didn't start up again.  The preview didn't call it a season finale or anything....

As for the actual episode...Chris is a piece of work....that is all.

I believe earlier in this thread someone mentioned they walked off the show because they let another contestant back on for the finale? I'd have to look through all the pages and I'm too lazy for that. I'm glad Kim is still here. I'd like for her to win it I think.

A bit of googling comes up with all sources citing about the same story....

They all get together and walk off because they hear that the producers are thinking about bringing contestants back.  Production eventually resumes but minus two contestants...which would mean they are down to the final three????

After watching their very chilly reception to Adrian and his sister this year, maybe they need to change the mindset and let the contestants know that anyone can be brought into the ranch at any point and they need to be aware that their alliances and game-play may be disrupted at any point - it's about losing weight before its about winning $250,000.  Didn't like their unfriendly attitude ....they need to accept newcomers as newbies and possible threats but also as people who will challenge their own weight loss.

I saw the previews for next week and I was shocked! I cant wait to see what happens next week. The preview made it seem pretty serious and I am really curious why they would shut down production and all the players would threaten to leave? I dont know if I can wait until next tuesday!! With that being said, I really like Buddy and hope that he wins. I think he has a great attitude and is fun to watch. I also like mark but think he is near the end of his weight loss and probably doesnt have too much left to lose. Anyone know who they would bring back and why? I know they always add some type of twist in the show but this close to the finale is interesting. Anyone think its just a stunt that production pulled with the contestants to add some drama to the show? Its still hollywood afterall and I wouldnt count that option out.

Hasn't there always been the possibility of people coming back?  If I remember correctly, Ali Vincent had been eliminated, won her way back on the ranch, and went on to win the whole thing.

Also, it seems sort of self-righteous to walk off after a trip to Hawaii, a make-over, and the trip to the White House where Michelle Obama said all those nice things to them.  And, so what if they did walk-off, couldn't they just let them go and replace them with eliminated contestants?

And while I'm at it...  The clip at the end said that Kris and Santa were planning to bike across the country.  Doesn't that take some financial resources to be able to do and some significant time off from work (perhaps Santa is retired, but surely Kris has a job)?

Well, if you camp and stuff it can be pretty cheap.  I just hope that they wear HELMETS when they do it.  Did anyone else notice that every bike shot of them was without helmets?????

We'll probably watch the next episode and say, "That's it? They made a big deal about that?"  Chances are that the previews are just hype for a non-event.  I've been burned by that kind of hype before so I don't put too much stock into it anymore.  Maybe it's a plug for a new product LOL.

Yeah I don't have high hopes for any real drama. I cannot fathom how walking off would make sense in these peoples heads. They don't all come across to me as THAT stupid. Particularly Kim seems to have it mostly together.

I can't beleive I've been missing this thread! (I've never really checked out Cup O Joe before.)

I'm curious but skeptical about the walk-off as well. Mark and some of the other level-headed ones seem smarter than that.

As for Chris... I like mayo but watching her put GOBS of mayo on those sandwiches was nasty! She's got some serious issues.

Aw, man, I missed last night's episode so I have no idea what everyone is talking about!  Is there anywhere on the internet to watch missed episodes?  I really wanted to hear what Michelle Obama said to everyone, and now that COJ is talking about walk-offs and other such drama, I want to see that, too!

Hulu has them available next day, and keeps up the most recent episodes. That's how I always watch it

The "workout" with Michele O'Bama looked really lame compared to what they are used to.  Yes, they were likely limited as far as where they could go to workout (not practical to go outside and run), but there were no hand weights or stretch bands....I guess the family members were also "working out" but it looked very tame and non-sweat breaking.

It was a lame workout, but I give her a lot of credit (and I am not a big Obama fan) for participating.  Try and imagine some of the previous First Ladies doing that!!   Yikes.

Chris' binge was certainly a bad sign, but I was happy to see her happy back with her family - hope it sticks for her - BTW was she putting peanut butter on a hamburger?.   As for the walk out - I share the feeling that others have expressed - Hawaii, White House, etc. and now they feel entitled.  Reality TV needs a reality check.

Chris's binge was so....WEIRD. Obviously the camera guys were in the room with her -- it wasn't like the footage was from a surveillance cam. Can you imagine stuffing your face with (ugh) grilled cheese and mayo sandwiches while someone with a ginormous camera shoots you? I briefly considered that the whole thing was staged. I dislike Chris. She's awfully defensive and abrasive towards EVERYONE. She's also the one who whines the most and makes the most excuses. I was not sad to see her go.

Also: Bob's pants at the weigh-in....

OMG, YES....just having a camera in my room would be enough to make me behave and not eat bad things!  It's one thing if it's caught on surveillance...having a CAMERAMAN in your hotel room is TOTALLY different!

And I agree...burger = yum, grilled cheese = yum, globs of mayo on both of them = YUCK!
