Merry Monday to the rest of the MG peeps! Swamped again on a Monday morning here at work, but I just wanted to pop-in & see what was happening.  Looking forward to the Eric & Betsy 'wedding' Race Report! lol!  Hope their weekend went fantastic!

I know a few have seen it, but here's the link from yesterday's race.  Not as entertaining to read as some out there, but it provides the jist of the race...   Thanks for the kind posts too!

I think the BT training plan I am on is on drugs.  Is this even safe to do?  My previous high that is "scheduled" was 6233 yards swimming per week and this week it's trying to get me to throw down 11920 yards.  What the?  That seems like a rather large jump and a good recipe for injury is it not?

I'm no expert but that seems to be too big of a jump.  I've always heard to slowly increase distance to prevent injury so almost doubling your yardage does not seem very safe to me.

Just back from a 90 minute massage. All is right in the world again. No neck pain, quads back in line and I can feel my toes again. May go for a swim tomorrow.

Nice job racing this weekend everyone!  You should all be very proud.

I'm having a bit of an identity crisis at work right now and wondering very seriously why I do my job... there are parts of it that just make me stabby...

Gotta love Mondays.

Yeah, everything I have read and/or heard says to only increase volume and/or intensity by 10% increments weekly (biking/running - I assume the same would apply to swimming)... that's closer to 50%, no?  That's some hellafied yardage!

Hehe.  I'm just crabby.  I don't know why I'm in sales when sometimes I just don't want to deal with people.  I really think I've chosen the wrong profession.

Oh, and I still can't wear pants.  The belly button would protest.

I declare today national crabby day!

I am tired and sore and Ken is out of town Frown  That means it's just me and THEM tonight and there are 5 of THEM!  The good news is Monday is a low activity night - no church, ballet, lessons etc.

The natives want tuna casserole because Mama isn't allowed to make that when Daddy is in town.  LOL

Right now the girls are all outside.... is it against the rules to lock the back door?  jk

Just thinking about that makes me tired.  Last summer at the day care I (along with 2 other people) had almost 40 4 and 5 years from 9 to 6 everyday.  It's absolutely exhausting!!  Good luck tonight

Ah, a healthy dose of testosterone, just what every girl needs in the morning.

You two are too much.  I can't wait to see how thick the smack talk gets leading up to the HIM.

I'm in a better mood today, but still not in love with my job.  Is it possible to have a quarter life crisis?  Too bad I'm too old and tied down to just run away and join the circus.

Congrats to all the racers over the weekend! I don't have time to write up a full wedding RR but we had a great time and of course it all goes by too quickly.  There was nothing in the ceremony/reception that upset Betsy of I so I think that counts as everything went well Some highlights...

Spend 1.5 days setting up the venue w/brother and family
Shots with the family at rehearsal dinner led to...
Unplanned party after rehearsal dinner lasting until 3-3:30am (8 people + 90 beers in 1.5hrs = 1 trashed hotel room and sick people)
I get sick at Chilis in front of people eating their lunch who I did not know on wedding day (I was 100% by the time ceremony came around thankfully!
Got married, Betsy looked amazing (as always)
My boss got attacked by a squirrel at the reception and had scratches on his face from the attack
Rest of the night is a little blurry but everything was great and I'm very glad we got a videographer so we can look back and see what all went on when our backs were turned
