Expert 1375 McAllen | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! I made a thread and got referred to this thread here and glad I read through some of it :P anyways... I'm currently 6'0 and sitting at about 177; I'd like to take off about 12-15 pounds. Sitting at about 14% body fat... Not bad but I'd like to be down to about 10. Get rid of those love handles :P Its those final few that are so hard to get rid of. Except I try to pump in 15-20 hrs a week of training so I'm always kinda cautious about backing down my caloric intake due to energy reasons. If I start backing down a little bit I tend to feel lethargic towards the end of the week and figure I'm probably not doing something right Might try restructuring my diet to make my intake about 50% veggies... more nutrients, less calories. I eat cleanly, no grease/oils and stuff but its just the quantity ha. Been trying to get down 10 pounds for a month or two and I just fluctuate a lot. Some days I get down to 172 and hold for a week, then back up... I'm going to do HIM New Orleans in April and I want to be at 160 for the race, though. Depending on how I feel maybe even less, but I'd like to hit the goal over the holidays just to see how I feel for s/b/r |

Go figure, I work from home....the office will be closed tomorrow but they expect us to keep working as long as we have power and cable. Darn, why did we get that generator after Hurricane Irene? At least I won't be on the phone tomorrow cause there won't be any intake people to set up cases. Just the stuff that's held over from today.....
The wind is blowing and it's pouring. My gym closed until Wednesday and they almost never close! |

Champion 9430 No excuses! | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! So I think I made the most of my day. Long work day, then shot over to the pool and got in 2600 yds which was all I could do with what time I had. Quick saw the fam and then it was off to see one of my favorite bands Dropkick Murphys. Buddies bust out the Irish Car Bombs to start the night and then I had another 4 beers. My 37 yr old butt crowd surfed and was in the mosh pit the whole night so I think I burned off a bunch of it. Got home and then got in an hour on the trainer with a ton of water to help sweat out the alcohol and refill the system. Overall a very nice day! |

Problem is, being hunkered in the house with the girls (even though I left yesterday to teach and will again today), is giving me serious sugar cravings. (That and I have a major deadline tomorrow!) Weird - I have not felt like this in forever! So far, I've held strong...but I'm not sure how much I have left in me. Send me some no sugar mojo please. |

If I'd had 4 beers, I prolly would not have been able to get the trainer work in. I've have been falling off it. Last night I jumped halloween costume making mosh pit :=). Then we made a fire and son wanted to make some mores. Having those hershey bar mini's in the house is gonna be soooo hard. I had one bite of one.. and thats it. Rode the trainer for 40 minutes this morning and have a long run scheduled for tonight during my son's cub scout meeting. |

Spend at least 10 minutes stretching - your choice...yoga, stretching, PT, rolling, whatever your body needs to be ready for your next workout. I'm selfish - my knee is a little funky, so I'm going to give it some love later today. That way I'll meet the mini-challenge. |

If you have the sugar, you're gonna start feeling guilty, then you're gonna have trouble concentrating on your deadline stuff and be even more stressed. Eat something healthy, focus on your goal and getting it done and remember that sugar is an evil, addictive drug. You got this! |
