But instead of a nap, I decided to go with a nice cold beer.....! Happy Wednesday! Oh Carp!! I didn't know we could put beer drinking as a challenge goal... I am going to have to learn to think outside the box.... Do you really drink 240 bottles a month?!? Holy smokes that is one bender of a month! Somehow I think that might not mesh so well with his running goal. |

I feel like I've been tased....long day at work...after not enough sleep because I stayed up until 1 doing office work...now I have a new pile to do.....I may go to the Y to swim at 8:20....we'll see.....I think I am confused too....blech! After I'm through tasering Andy, Neal and Jen.... Which will take a long time, btw.... I will taser the people who made you work until 1 AM. ME?! What did I do? I was also wondering why the 3 of us got singled out. I'm not so sure I've ever done anything to deserve a tasering You're fine. I just checked the spreadsheet. |

Silly puppy kept me up until 10:30 last night and had me up at 5:30. I don't appreciate that one bit! If only I had realized that having a puppy would be similar to having a baby, I might have thought twice about it! Wow. You go to sleep early. Speaking of puppies, any tips on what to give her to help her stop chewing everything/everyone? ETA: Puppy TopPage! I go to bed around 10:30, but 5:30 *is* my regular wake up time. This. The alarm goes off at 4:30 and I need lots of sleep. If not, I am not a fun person. I really like to sleep from 9 or 9:30 until 6:00 but that doesn't happen a lot. |

The kids don't even have a delay. I have dentist appt today. I have to have a filling replaced. I guess it's cracked. Bummer deal for me. So, my plan is to clean until 9:00, run at 9:00, shower, dentist, trainer, lunch, nap. Let's see if it happens! |

Logging food.... Hm. Depends, are you trying to watch what you're eating? (In my case, I'd just be logging about 20,000 calories of junk food each day.) If you're trying to be careful, then it's OK. Here are my goals for January: 1) Run - 50 miles 2) Log food - 15 days Hope #2 is ok as a goal. Yep. I'm using Livestrong.com's daily plate feature that gives me a calorie target. Trying to be close to that every day. I LOVE the daily plate!! (www.livestrong.com/myplate) i love that it take ALL the guess work out because it is pre-loaded with EVERYTHING and ANYTHING you could eat - even the brand names and all the nutritional value. I should have made that a goal too - i'm trying to log everyday for at least 2 weeks... hoping for more but starting with small goal... I had such a great time at the running store yesterday - the local guy that owns it is super cool and the asics rep was in there, too... so we all chatted for a while; i bought my new (asics) and the rep threw in a free pair of socks - which happen to rock by the way oh and Erica - your snow from CT arrived at about 7:20 - right at the turn around point of my run so i thought of you I haven't had a 10 day streak like this in AGES... tomorrow i'll get on the trainer; i just got a cadence monitor so i should try out that new toy too!! Nice deal with the free socks! The Daily Plate has been working really well for me, so long as I actually remember to use it. I'm starting with a small goal, too (at least 15 days out of 31 for the month). Hopefully that will get me in the habit of doing it regularly. |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Tased and Confused (Team 1) - January Challenge It snowed here last night. It wasn't very much - a dusting over the grass and roads - but it was definitely enough to cause problems. There was a big accident on the interstate where I get on. Decided to go down the the next entrance and avoid it, but there were some big backups on the roads leading to it. |

The roads were pretty clear when we went in this morning...thank goodness I missed that mess. The light blanket of snow was pretty though - much prettier than the 8-10 inches from a couple weeks ago. Nice to look at, nothing to shovel is my kind of snow. |
