I decided last night I'm going to start work on my Chevelle soon. First step is a new column and ignition switch.

Are you going to go buy a half acre in the Arizona desert and put a trailer on it, too, you effing redneck?

OHHHH what year. I am a gear head.. .or was for the longest time. Then I bought a house got married and had to sell my 1985 Mercury Capri that had a nice 351W stroked, bored, Alimium heads and making 568hp 521lbft torque. My buddy still ownes this car, barely drives it and WON'T sell it back to me.

My very first car was a 71 Nova with a 355cuin and a muncie 4 gear with a vertical gate shifter. Built it with my Dad when I was 15.

It's a 71, I look at the car as a physical representation of me. When I got married and had kids it got put on the back shelf and was neglected so now because of that it needs more work than it did before but I think it's worth it.

A Chevelle makes me a redneck?

I do not think that word means what you think it means.

Hi diddly ho TANnerinos...

well, *I* was at a Pampered Chef party last night.  I know Jim... I know you're jealous but seriously the bored mom presence at this  party was unbelievable... one even said she would come and "check out" my congregation.  And we all know what that is code for... "leave me alone you dweeb."

It was awesome.

Nice Ride man. Nice little 2bolt main your building. Decent heads. Looks like the 2.02/1.94 valves. What did you put in for a Cam.

I went Way to big on my nova. I fought with my dad forever. My first cam in it was like 337 lift 298 Duration. (bigger is better right?) It was lumpy as heck, car didn't want to idle I thought it sounded great and made lots of power. I ran it like that for a month then my dad convinced me he heard a tick in my engine.

Took it apart and put a used 310/270 cam that he had and degreed the cam in while I was gone away. And the car was not as cool sounding at idle. But it sure ran better. The other thing he did was take my 750 double pumper off and show me how to rebuild and rework a 650 carb and I got better gas milage and better throttle response. the 650 is more then enough for a high hp small block when done right. Between those two things my car ran about a half second faster in the 1/4mile

I was pretty happy at 16 years old to be driving a 71 nova that ran 12.9 in the 1/4mile as long as I could hit my gears... HAHA. Which is why I went to one of these

Free is good.

And Chevy stuff with respect to the valve train is soooo much cheaper then FORD.

Ok Lunch is around the corner, I have been avoiding pages and ignoring my phone for long enough.

Back at it. Maybe pop my head back in a few days from now.

Cord. That will Def Flow more then a stock head. Are you going smaller CC to bump compression or are you just building a nicely built daily driver with a bit more power.

I don't want it to stall on me while at a stop. I have helped build a few 355's with 195cc AFR heads that ran on pump gas and ran 12.2 1/4 miles.
