Very excited for you ironpeeps! Training is done and now it is time to withdraw all those deposits you have been making over the past many months. Enjoy the days ahead and rock it on Sunday!

Anyone here read Bree Wee on a regular basis?

Love her blog today: http://breeweehawaii.blogspot.com/

I've always wondered how she is a pro triathlete and a mom -- I think things were different for her when her son was younger before he started school. People think once kids are in school you have endless time. Her post today is about how the heck she can squeeze in X hours of training into X+1 hours, for example. The math says it works. The reality says it doesn't. It's a great post for anyone considering IM training -- 4-hours rides are not 4-hour rides, for example!!

Hats off to everyone who makes it work on whatever level they do. Life is such a juggling act sometimes. I love her picture of harmony -- it's a beautiful way to think of life's priorities!!

Anyone Done Cedar point REV3 HIM distance?

I am seriously considering this for next year as my first HIM distance. I will know for sure if I make it through Detroit HM as my first HM... I figure if I can hold it together for that run. Then by next year with more training I can pull off a HIM distance race. I was looking at Steelhead with a friend who has done it a few times. But they seem to cancel the swim often.

Also Cedar Point would be more fun for the other half...

Haven't done it, but I have done Knoxville which is run by the same folks, they do a great job with the race and for families attending.  Never hurts to check out other peoples race reports to see what they thought of them.

This is so exciting!!!!!   Can't wait to track Tracy & Trevor!!!

One of my funniest IMCanada memories (Jeff's first IM, my first spectating) was his buddy telling him that whenever it got tough, he needed to smile.  And the best way to smile was to think about sex.

So whenever we saw the guys on the course, smiling.....we knew what they were thinking!!!

We found out later that they shared this thought with others....lots of smiling on the run!!

With respect to the weather......it was supposed to be hot that year, and it rained during the run...you never know!!!!

Some friends did Cedar Point last year. They said it was a good race and family friendly like Knoxville. The water conditions were awful the day before (3-4 foot chop), but settled down in time for the race. So the swim could be iffy there, too.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE RACING THIS WEEKEND.  WHOOOOHOOOO

Anyone every done REV3 Cedar Point.

I am seriously considering this for my first HIM distance race I would ever be doing... Not doing it until 2012 though. I was hoping to do a few bigger races this year but this crappy thing called work has taken my 600 mins a week of working out and dropped it down to about 60-120 mins at best.

that was a cute post and oh so accurate about finding the time to put in what you need to reach your goals. Even when you think you have lots of time it creeps up on you and the next thing you know the day is gone. I have a granddaughter who loves to cheer me on whenever I can take her with me.
