But what if there's a chance of a thunderstorm? And it would look SO cute matching your outfit....

Let her pass on this one so she feels obligated to buy the next one... the white lycra rain top.

Okay hopefully I didn't just get myself fired.

I got a phone call "Hi, I'm calling from Dr Thompson's office, may I speak with Laura King?"

I responded with "I'm sorry, Laura's not in, my name is Sofa."

She said she must have the wrong number and hung up.

It just slipped out.

Wrong extension. I could have transferred her to the right place. I'm kidding that I could get fired for it but I could end up with a "be more helpful" talk with the boss.

No, but sometimes the doctor office staff gets really cranky if they get someone on the phone and the person doesn't bend over and rub their feet in an effort to help them. Even when they accidentally call the pharmacy corporate IS dept and get a random software architect instead of someone in the pharmacy location they actually intended.

I searched the USAT rules book and there is nothing regarding bare chests that I could find.  Disney enforced this because, well, they're Disney.

I just read the rule book cover to cover last week and took the test to become an official.  It states nowhere in there that males cannot be barechested (even in the public nudity section.  So as far as USAT goes, and you wear a race belt for your number - I don't think it is an issue.  Race directors are allowed to add their own rules, as long as they do not conflict with USAT's, so the official word is up to them.

Yesterday, when I was riding home on M Street, and had the right of way, this extremely high maintenance woman in a white Toyota SUV, who was yakking away on her phone, about drove it me in the street...

Me: "Get OFF the phone!"

Her: "You can kiss my @zz!"

Me: "Don't think so, its probably covered with herpes!"

I thought later a snappier comeback might have been either "its too wide for that" or "you're not slutty enough for me to do that."

Cool

herpes. That would be rough.

The best way to respond to that is always the same: "Okay. Let's see it."

They always take off in a huff.
