My totals for Feb include some elliptical to replace some running due to an ankle injury...all better now, just some lingering tendonitis and calf stuff.  But stretching makes it manageable. Woot woot, feeling good.

Run:3h 17m 34s
Swim:5h 49m  - 9650 Yd

I'm currently on day 66 of my 100 day base camp.  I'm doing ok in the water but I'm currently behind by 2 rides and 2 runs.  I'm focusing more on consistant frequency of workouts right now, not too worried about doing any real long stuff (yet).

Overall February was a good month.

Bike = 27 rides for a total of 25h25m.
Run = 16 runs for a total of 12h38m.
Swim = 10 swims for a total of 7h45m.

I am also ready for more bike miles this month and would love to hit 300 miles for March.  I have been able to start back riding outside, which it's nice to get a feel for the road again and tackle "real" hills.  I was able to start back running in Feb after cmoing off a knee injury which was a huge relief. I'm looking forward to more running this month.  As for swimming- I'm not too worried about volume at this point.  Just consistency more than anything.

February's totals:
Bike:16h 31m 57s  - 240.9 Mi
Run:9h 37m 23s  - 64.41 Mi
Swim:5h 05m 14s  - 15150 Yd
Strength:49m
Walking:54m 12s

January's totals:
Bike:10h 11m 54s  - 158.13 Mi
Run:8h 19m 04s  - 52.57 Mi
Swim:5h 45m 49s  - 17050 Yd
Strength:52m
Adventure Racing:20m
Elliptical Training:1h 32m
Walking:1h 40m 31s

Bike = 18.83 hours = 257.17 miles

Continued to build through February.  Finally past recovery from Carlsbad and hopefully there will not be as much bad weather in So Cal this month.

I figure March may be around the same volume given some tapering for Oceanside.

Swim: 8hr48min 23,750 meters
Bike: 31hrs24min 480 miles
Run: 15hrs 99 miles

The house that we rented for CdA fell though so if anyone hears of a rental available (we booked something for $3K that slept 7), please let me know! I've also booked a backup hotel room or would consider a 1 Bedroom or Studio since it may be tough to find something for 7 again.

Ahhh, I love the Ironman rates available on VRBO.

I just stood up from my desk (after sitting since 10 or so) and I am so sore today. I need to stretch...and I need a massage....and a nap.  Sigh.

Thanks, it helps when you are married to an IM, gotta keep up! Now off to do it all again!  Well, not all of it, just swim and pilates tonight.  You know we're in it deep when I think 1.5 hours on the trainer is a "short ride".

Started my training plan on February 1st, which I was super excited about. I think it might be a little aggressive, but thats alright...see what happens .

Everyone's totals look awesome. Keep up the good work - I'll see you guys eating pizza at the finish line (knock on a lot of wood).

February Totals:

Swim: 32,950 yards - 10h 45m

Bike: 444.6 miles - 22h 50m

Run: 112.9 miles - 16h 3m

Resistence: 8 sessions x 30 minutes.

Homework: Still, way too much.

Good stuff.

There are some machines in this forum!  Great work everyone!  Also, thanks for the feedback last month in regards to bilateral breathing.  It is not pretty, but it is really coming around.  My Feb numbers are as follows:

Swim: 25,200 Yards (7.9 hours) (longest swim=3,000 yards)
Bike: 414.3 Miles (22.53 hours) (longest ride= 65.5 miles yesterday)
Run: 101.8 Miles (13.01 hours) (longest run= 16 miles)

Total Time for Feb: 43.44 Hours

Anyone live in the Boston area?  I will be there for 9 days starting next week for work if anyone would like to meet up for a run.  The training during work travel could be interesting.  To bad I won't be there during Patriots Day.

Did not push it as much as I should have in Feb. Took one weekend off & went to Vegas. I figure those four days set me back 2 + weeks, but oh well, it was fun.

FEB TOTALS:

Swim - 5.9 hrs - 17600
Bike - 15.75 hrs - 293 miles
Run - 12 hrs - 83.75 miles

Safe training in March everyone!

I was able to ramp up the bike post-marathon with a century and two 80+ rides in Feb.  Running is off due to a residual hamstring issue, but appears to be improving.

Amazing how fast it seems to be approaching.  June will be here before we know it.

Oh my building back up takes its toll.  Lastnight I just went home and took a 4 hour nap to get up the energy to eat dinner.  That's how I know I am IM training.  Sunday was a 2:30 bike bricked into a 30 min run.  I told my wife that it was sad that soon that would be considred a shorter workout.  I got a flat a half mile from home and just walked the bike home.  I wanted to give the tread a good look over.. and did not find anything in the tread.  I guess we find out tonight if it was just the pothole I hit (on a road with a zillion) or if there is something in the tread that I missed.

Yesterday the nurse on staff said that I looked tired.  I guess that means I am not slacking too much.  Still sluggish today, but have a lighter week aside from my 10 mile race on Saturday.  It is a crazy race in that MOP is 6:00 mpm pace and the winner will likely be sub 5:00 mpm.

Hopefully this month I can get my numbers up into the ballpark of some of the rest of you.  Good golly I might not hit those numbers even in May.

FYI - In December the schedule of events on the IMCDA website showed a 6am start and 11pm finish.  They have changed this back to the original 7am start and midnight finish times.

There are 117 more days to worry about things you can not really control.
