The first post on this thread asked several questions:

1. Is this your first IM?
2. Have you done LP before?
3. What are your goals for the 2010 race?
4. Do you have any specific questions that you wish addressed about LP (the race, training etc)

So far we've discussed how slow/old everyone is, Jorge's chicken legs, we had an inside baseball finman reference, AND a Star Wars reference, did some smack-talkin' about each other, then when we ran out material, we turned to smack-talkin' the IMFL thread.

I say we just go ahead and make this the new TAN of the IM boards.

And yes. We are so definitely the cool kids on the IM playground. The IMLP thread will beat you up and take your lunch money, so watch out.

No uppity ups towards FL here. I was just there last weekend. Training. Acclimating myself to the heat. By the time I left I could suck down a mango margarita in 5 minutes. Major improvement from the first margarita of the trip which took like 15. I also figured out which tops leave the least tan lines by laying on a chair in the sun and testing this. One day I ran like 21 minutes, but that was a waste and clearly not worth the return on investment.

No hiatus here, no inlaws either, I am farty though, I will be good at Ironman too ( someday ), I dislike Florida because our awesome Master's coach moved there and left us *sniff sniff*, I have abs, I don't live in NYC, I sometimes give a , and I hope the best for Dan.

I just quietly lurk and train away so that I can achieve my goal of running sub-4 at an IM and having a kick- race next July.

we all know that you are scared of the hills

LOL! I know, you guys keep saying that but hills are great for me because I am kind of on the small side for a strong cyclist. We have some very solid climbing routes around here in AZ where I live, but nothing like you have in PA, Fred!

I'm taking this, my first Ironman, way too serious.  It's like losing your virginity, I want everything to be perfect for my first time ; but more than likely it'll be long and painful, unlike the other which was quick and euphoric .

If this were Ironman Florida I wouldn't even really give a hoot.  Like it's so hard to coast on flat roads and draft for 112 miles and then jog a pancake flat marathon course.  Pleeeze   Real Ironmen are crowned in the Mountains.

Keep up the fantastic comments Drunk Uncle Doofenshmirtz!

I'm going back to quietly training now.
