Pretty unoriginal here too.   I am a mom, I love to swim, and my son was born in 2002.

Though I did like the peanuts 'Marcie' avatar because she is the only semi famous person I have found who has my name and spells it the right way.    But I have been convinced to post a real picture of me suffering.

I can play at this one, but not very exciting. Sitting, trying to be creative and figured the next thing I heard I'd go with. As it turns out my boss was on the phone with someone who I think had bad cell phone reception and my boss was started saying "No, he did it himself. No, HIMSELF. HIMSELF!!!" And so it was.

I was going to go with my freshman year intramural innertube water polo team name, but don't know what it meant. We were the amniotic sacs. Can you tell that most of my teammates were taking Bio 101? And in case you were wondering, we took first place thankyouverymuch!

When I first started posting on message boards (not this one) I was stationed aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt. Now I post on several different boards and keep using the name.

Mine is a reminder of the fact that I was a chunky, non-athletic kid (and for a while, a chunky adult), and how far I've come since then. Back in those days (the 70's) we wore Sears toughskin pants and I always had to get the "husky boy" size...

The TU Story: While in undergrad I was calling schools and getting info on grad programs. Called a school in Texas and spelled EVERYTHING for that woman. I think the only reason what they sent reached me was they had the zip code right. Something simple like my first name (Ty) was misspelled, TU (also messed up were the name of the dorm, the town name, and the state abbreviation, Wisconsin was appreviated, WR...Hmmmmmmm). Anyway, TU stuck as a nickname.

The PUPPY Story: My friend is about 5'7" and 135lbs (not a big guy). One day we were sassing each other and I called him "Puppy." He said I was the puppy (I was 6'2" 200lbs) and I was to call him "Mr. Puppy." Anyway PUPPY became a shared nickname.

The two just morphed into TUPUPPY.

Pretty good guess when I'm on a site like this that I can choose Tupuppy and that screen name will be available.

I'm a programmer by day and an IT security freak by night. Well, actually, I am always on about information security. I'm also a Harry Potter fan.
Friend of mine got sick of being harrassed about security, and said "I bet you sneak up behind people and shout "CONSTANT VIGILANCE!!" don't you?"
At which point, I became madeye.

Some places, I'm madeye_moody, and I've been called "moodeye" before which cracks me up. The mood eye turns blue when I'm angry...red when I'm content....

Okay, not really. Steamy is a variation from Steamer - a nickname that I acquired last year simply because I was lucky enough to be born with the last name Cleaveland. (Yeah - don't ask me what type of friends I have.)

I am friends with the above poster. Thats what kinds of friends she has.

Comet-a nickname obviously derived from my first name. And when I lost some weight and picked up speed it was a joke on my running abilities because a jealous "friend" was mad that I became faster than her, so it stuck in our circle just to piss her off.

Tri-it started out as "bi" from one hopeful guy friend, but got changed because I started triathlons.

Gotta a little obsessed with Tolkien's Lord of the Ring and started reading about Elvish.  Joined a site and made up an elvish name.  Just like the way it sound.  Got the idea from

Celeborn: The elven lord of Galadhrim, Galadriel's husband, who received Frodo's gang on their way to destroy the ring.  His name means "Silver Tree".

Minas Ithil: "Tower of the Moon", later changed name to Minas Morgul (Tower of the Dark) after fallin got the hands of Sauron.

OK.  I'm a geek.

But you are only faster than her 'downhill', so I don't really know what she's so upset about.

C - Ceiling
A - and
V - Visibility
U - Unrestricted
9 - Favorite number, baseball number in college, etc.

CAVU is a pilot acronym (actually more a weather acronym) meaning no restictions to flight per weather.....no clouds above and unlimited visibility....basically, the perfect day to fly.  I just kinda adopted it as my view on life.  No restrictions, no limitations.....just have fun!!!
