I am getting around to this thread a little late. But I too am a huge LOST fan. I say we get a LOST thread going every Wed night...or Thurs morning to give our West Coast friends time to watch!

I am a little nervous about next week's episode, though. I think it's all about Kate. It seems to me like it's sort of a filler episode, something to drag it out. I hope that "what really happened to Kate" is really interesting. I hate when there's no new action. LOST is the best at leaving you hanging at the end of an episode. A lot happened this past week, though, so that was good. It was great seeing the husbands and wives reunite.

Oh, and someone asked where Ethan Rom came from...he was one of the Others and, like Goodwin, came from Canada

The other show I really like Boston Legal. I don't watch it as religiously as LOST, but I think it's an extremely clever show.

My bad, I missed those episodes, and never caught them on the rerun.

Every once in a while a show comes on that someone actually puts some thought into...(I'm sitting here typing this as the wife watches "What I Like About You" on the WB).  There's something so satisfying about watching a show where there's an actual story being told.  Season 1 is definitely on my Christmas list.

It was a Ana Lucia episode. We learned that she was an LA cop who got shot in the line of duty and when she got shot she lost a baby that she was pregnant with.

The other tail section people and the other lost people left her with Sayid tied up in the jungle where Shannon was killed, but she let him go. Everyone else went back to the camp and there was a reunion with Jin and Sun and Rose and Bernard and Michael and the dog. Eko brought Sawyer to the hatch where Jack & Kate tried to save him. It ended with Eko bringing Jack to where Ana Lucia had Sayid tied up - Jack was all pissed off but recognized her from the airport.

Further detail from last week. In flashback mode Ana Lucia the LA COP was shot and lost her baby, as was previously stated. What was not discussed is that the perp was later found. Ana Lucia PURPOSELY REFUSED to ID the perp in a police line-up. Perp got let go. Ana Lucia hunted him down and shot him to death in an alley.

Amazing TV show. My wife and I didn't watch at all until they started replaying them this summer so that people could "catch up". The only problem was that they were skipping episodes, the bastards! So, we rented all the DVDs and watched all those that we missed and then some.

I have to admit a couple of things:

- It seems like there have been some really slow episodes this season. Not nearly as gripping and engaging as almost the entire first season.

- Is it me or is the woman playing Ana Lucia a painfully bad actress? Not only that but her ENORMOUS porcelain veneers bug the crap out of me. She can barely get her lips around those monster choppers. Its interesting to see the original scene in which she meets Jack in the bar. Her teeth are her own and her face looks completely different.

Of course, none of this will keep me from watching the best show on TV.

They should have gotten VASQUEZ or whatever her name was from ALIENS to play her part. If you know who I'm talking about you're chuckling right now. That's who I think of whenever she comes on the screen.

The sneer's gotta go. My wife thinks tonight Ana Lucia and Kate are gonna get in a big "tough chick" wrestling grudge match. My wife's not into the "tough chick" thing...

Was it not an awesome episode last night? I was sooo nervous that it would get boring and just focus on Kate, but so much happened. And how about that ending???? I do think it's a coincidence that they watched the new filmstrip and then someone tried communicating via the computer. Do you think someone's watching them?? I hear we have to wait until Jan. 11, or something like that, for the next new episode

Go buy it. Found it at Target for $30, seven disks, all the episodes, plenty of extras.

It is perhaps 1/2-way through the second season now. You could catch up with DVDs plus re-runs...

I've been thinking of doing the same thing. I'm not real big on TV but I've heard enough good things about this. I'll probably rent the first few episodes and check it out before buying though.

Anyone interested in having a "Lost-Season One on the Trainer" club?

That sounds like fun. We can schedule to watch the same episodes the same day so we can discuss. A "challenge" type group?

I would suggest just buying it. If you rent for $3-$5 per disc at Blockbuster, you might as well buy it for $30 at Target. To rent there are only a couple episodes per rental...I checked this out when looking to start watching 24.

I'm in!!

That's the thing, this series doesn't flow like a television show but more like a 24-hour long movie. Other than the occasional episode starting off with a short "Previously on Lost," there is little repition, nearly all new stuff, new details, new revelations, new plot twists.

Yeah, I'm in for the Lost- One Season on the Trainer. Will give us something to do until January 11.
