Stoaked offroad tri on Saturday and then the Mud Hog race at Gunstock on Sunday with the wife.  Check out the web site www.mudhograce.com as it looks like it is going to be a blast.

cardenas1 - 2009-08-05 11:37 PM 1st anniversary race this weekend. Loggerhead Triathllon got me hooked, now I have to shave off a few minutes.

I'm there with you bro!
What time are you shooting for?  I'm leaving my garmin on my bike and just setting my watch on a count-down for 1:15:00.

If you hear someone cussing themself out on the bike, that'll be me reminding myself to keep F'n pushing!!!

I have my third sprint on Sunday.  Lots of friends doing this one so it should be a good time.  It is also the first year for this tri at Bridgeland.

I'm doing a funky-distance race called Ultramax Kansas 50. Total (was suppose to be) 50 miles. But the bike course got extended, so I think it goes

1 mile swim
42 mile bike
10 mile run

Word.

I have been so looking forward to posting on one of these threads: I am!  Summer Super Sprint Tri.  Manassas, Virginia.  My first.

I went back through my log.  This was my entry from June 23, just after joining BT.  Took me 16:15 to put in 400 yards.

"Had to stop frequently, but it's a start.  Let's be honest here.  I don't know how to swim.  I can't keep my head down.  Argh!"

I'll hit the water Sunday with an 8:15 estimate for 400 yards.  I'm having so much fun.

So jealous of y'all!  Was hoping to do the local sprint tri (for my first) on this coming Monday, but I don't think I'm ready yet - I've only swam the 400m required one time.  I'm praying to make it for the week after, which I believe is the last one of the season.

On a positive note, the slicks for my mountain bike just arrived at my lts.  (Local Tri Shop)

I'll also be doing the Camp Pendleton sprint on Saturday. Last year it was my second tri ever- looking to see some improvement this time around. I'll be in there like swimwear.

I'm doing the Bang's Lake Olympic Triathlon.  Everytime I say the name I giggle like I was back in 6th grade.  Should be a good time.

It's about time I got another race under my belt. I'm doing the sprint version of the Ultramax KS 50 - The Octomax. It looks like temps should be nice and toasty come the start of the race.

Signed up to do the Findley Lake Sprint with my daughter, I swim and Bike she runs (as I have a mess of a left knee), but, she suffered a severe ankle injury today, huge bummerCry!  Looking for a replacement (runner, not daughter).  Will go it alone, only if I have to.

Sunday is my first HIM!  Spirit of Morgantown in WV.  Even though a really rough training year (lyme desease in the spring, work schedule, lots of rain, my son's sports schedule, and bursitis in my knee) is going to limit my performance, I'm still excited about it.  I'm just going out with the attitude of enjoying the experience and not worrying about my time on the bike or run.

I am!

I'm just doing the Camp Whitcomb Mason Sprint, but it's a HUGE race... I'm going mano-a-mano with one of Milwaukee's news anchors in a no-holds-barred grudge match that will determine bragging rights for the whole off-season!

I'm going to summon the power of the Donkai Nation and put this perfectly-coiffed, giraffe-legged dandy down!!!!!!!

(OK, he's actually a really nice guy, but you can't LIKE your arch-rival, can you?)

We're in for our second-ever triathlon!  We'll be racing Saturday in the 3rd installment of the Jacksonville Sprint Tri Series.  I have to admit, I'm actually more nervous now than I was before our first race.  Nevertheless, I am sure we will have just as much fun as the first time around!

I am considering doing the Quackertown Steelman Sprint Tri this weekend to compensate for the triathlon-turned-duathlon SheROX race last week. Not sure if I will do it since:
a) only a couple of charity spots are left and I am not guaranteed one at this point (have to show up on Saturday to reigster for it)
b) the weather forecast is not good for the weekend, and I really do not want to do another thunderstorm duathlon (even though SheROX was FUN!
c) I still do not quite feel like myself. Maybe it's not a good idea for a beginner to attempt two races in a row? What do more experienced athletes here think?

So, let's say I'm tentatively racing..
