As if men don't name body parts that they spend a lot of time with?

rollinbones - 2005-10-07 11:32 AM Well Brett if that was the case I would've put an OT in front of it or put it in the cup o joe as to the rest: car - don't think "rust bucket" counts Blanket - wife calls em "woobies", don't remember feeling particulary close to one myself tho. Rifle - had a bb gun once. put out some bread and shot bird. My father didn't think it was very good sportsmanship. gave me a good whoopin and took the gun. I remember calling it something but I don't think it was endearing!
Brett - 2005-10-07 12:12 PM When I first saw the title of the thread I was kinda worried that this would end up having to do with a disturbing combination of goats, cousins, glass shards, broom handles and hillbillies. I was relieved to see that I was wrong. You've never named a possession (besides animals)? Not a car? Security blanket? Rifle (I know a lot of Marines)? bts

I've got it bad but I have my limits. I won't:

1) shave below my neck
2) name my bike
3) put a balloon on the bike rack

Hey, it's friday, had some cocktails last night and this terror alert has made me a little edgy

I'm guilty of all three of the above. I used a balloon (shaped like a snail, nonetheless!) at Presque Isle. Afterwards, people came up to me and thanked me for the great idea! I used it because rack position was sort of off...not assigned, and not really done in "rows" persay, more like long columns without any real numerical organization. So I used it and it made finding Ruby (yep, my bike's name) a cinch.

Two years ago I would have said "Own a bike worth more than my car."

Uh ... too late.

It's funny, I once had a big argument with a bf over what "that" was. We finally concluded that it's about the line that goes "but sooner or later you'll be screwing around", although it doesn't make all that much sense in the context of the song. Deep philosophical significance is not what you get from Michael Bolton. Needless to say, the bf in question is history.

It is. The same guy who brought us timeless classics like "I'd lie for you (and that's the truth)" and "Good Girls Go to Heaven (Bad Girls Go Everywhere)".

Proof positive that in some cases, talent is only marginally related to success.

And now, back to the regularly scheduled topic "Things I won't do"...

I'm pretty sure I won't:

1) shave above my ears (I'm losing my hair fast enough thank you)

2) name my bike "ass probe"

3) tie balloons next to EVERY bike on the bike rack

Hmmm... Since I have a MUCH bigger fear of being mangled than a fear of death, my list would include things like...

- Skydiving
- Bungie Jumping
- Swimming with a pod of marine mammals (Orcas, Dolphins, Whales, etc...)

Other than things in that vein, not much I wouldn't try at least once.

A few things:

1) Get an M-dot tattoo
2) Tolerate jobs or people who make me miserable
3) Spend more than 30 mins on any message board on any given day again.
4) Live without adventure
5) Be without a library card

I will never say poo. Ever. And if I was being tortured and had to say poo, I would die before I used it as a verb.

When I had to get my new GIANT road bike in silver/pink because it was the only color left in my size, I named her "Barbie".  In the words of my husband, "Who wouldn't want to ride Barbie?"

OOO, you nailed a few of my biggies: waxing and adventure races. I once did this 100km "through the mountains in 48 hours" event, which I will not be repeating any time, anywhere. My alternative #3 would have to be childbirth. My son was 9 lbs 10.5 oz, 22.5 inches, and took around 36 hours to get himself born. Never, ever again!

If my memory is correct (I was not a good english student) he didn't use poo as a verb. Maybe thats what he meant, but you're right, he did say it.
