I don't actually ride in the granny gear - except in rare instances. But like I said, the pic was taken right after I got the bike. It was probably like that because I'd been practicing shifting in the parking lot or something. I feel guilty using the granny gear, so I almost never do.

Since this newbie doesn't have a road or tri bike yet, thanks for sharing the pics and allowing me to dream!!! 

I was going to post a pic of my Fisher mountain bike that I will be riding in my first tri to make all of you jealous (or at least let you reminisce a little to your first tri, LMFAO) but I couldn't figure out how to insert the picture.
