But I'm liking seeing this pic over and over. |

I'll just say this: Don't think that men don't have a pretty good idea what you'll look like naked even when they've only seen you clothed. We're not fooled by it. So if he's into you with clothes on, don't expect that to change when the clothing comes off. |

Elite 5316 Alturas, California | Subject: RE: Men Like Curvy Women Hard to approach this topic with objectification of women as the norm in popular culture. Socrates had the idea that there is a Form for beauty that transcends individuals, you know it when you see it, so to speak. Men are socialized to think of beauty as the women on TV or in Movies who the guys are always trying to get... aquainted with. Some scientests believe that "curvey" women are naturally more attractive to men because as a "species" we are looking for a potential mate to be able to feed our children and have wide hips so as to not die in childbirth. How a woman caries herself, presents herself, dresses, talks.... communicates how "available" she is to the interests of men. Much of this goes beyond simply physical appearance. A wink, a nod, an extended period of direct eye contact, a slight tilting of the head, etc. are all courtship behaviors. There was a movie that had a very attractive... looking woman who played an actress in silent movies. Then when talking movies came out, her voice was soooo nails on a chalk board that it just made you want to look away, or run. In another movie an guy was hypnotised to see women so that they looked attractive if their personalities were kind, friendly and generous and to see even physically "beautiful" women who were greedy, scheeming and dishonest as physically "ugly." Although men may have an initial response to a women of a classically beautiful figure, the most attractive aspect of a woman is that she is attracted to the man... well beyond just physical attracted, cares about him etc., is not an axe murderer and is not like totally smothering. We can see the parts we want to see, and pretty much overlook anything we don't want to see. (Conversely, if a guy isn't into a woman, he will only see the flaws. Again - compartmentalizing). |

Subject: RE: Men Like Curvy Women I have larger than normal breats,,, average body but tummy needs more work to get flatter... rest of me is ok though but I have been told by a certain man that had mattered that my body was unacceptable.. even now after losing weight and working on my body,,, my breasts are still too big... but now I would be afraid to consider myself as curvy.. even in my wetsuit.. Probably until I lose so much that my chest finally "loses weight" (would be too much), I won't be comfortable with myself.. as both single and when married,, I found that the men, I am and was attracted to (like the ones that do the same sports I do) seem to consider "curvy" as overweight.. I have not found that they want "curvy", they want thin or athletic looking at least in the area where I live.. so those of you that like curvy women and are single,,, feel free to move here please! |

Master 2277 Lake Norman, NC | Subject: RE: Men Like Curvy Women I've always had a little belief that goes, "attitude drops you 4 dress sizes." IMHO guys will always prefer a cool, fun to be with, honest, enjoyable girl who is a size 10 over a pretentious, putting on an act, no fun, game-playing, size 2 or 0 PITA. I've dated both types and IMHO the latter begins to look uglier within the first 30 minutes of the first date. The former keeps looking hotter and hotter the more time you spend with them. Oh don't get me wrong - everyone should try to stay in shape and maintain low bodyfat and good health. This is after all a triathlon BB. But just thin vs. athletic or slightly overweight... Who cares about curves or no curves - Be fun to be be with!!! That's my stance and I'm stickin' to it. |

Another friend brought a date I had not met. A group of us were standing around chatting and his date had just come back from the ladies' room. She was beautiful by most any standard, but I noticed her transform as she took her place in our little conversation circle. At first when she walked up she had a very natural expression on her face and a relaxed posture. Then, as she took my buddy's hand (the friend, not the buddy getting married) she adjusted her posture to make things stick out slightly, but noticeably. Her face went from natural to pouted lips and sucked in cheeks and she also did this thing that is difficult to describe. It all made me think of something a model would do as the photog was snapping pictures. "ok, give me that sexy look. now pout. make love to the camera." etc, etc. It was so fake. From that point on no matter how attractive she might appear, her stock with me went way down. This is altogether different from what we are talking about here, but just wanted to share that. |

Oh you got it. That's part of it. My advice to ladies: If you're a size 0 or 2 super-hottie and you... * can never allow us to see you by accident or surprise because you're not made up to the nines. * feel the need to test our interest/love by playing a jealousy game... * could NEVER laugh, burp, fart or make any involuntary noise in front of us... * feel that if you say or do the wrong thing at any moment we'll run away from you... * consider every other woman on the planet is trying to steal your man away from you... * must get the approval of us from others like your friends... * feel that your looks, rather than your attitude and character deserves you a certain level of "royalty treatment"... * considers dating to be all about marriage, long-term, conquests, sex... an end-game at the expense of enjoying being in the moment... * prefers the CONCEPT of being with us for what we are rather than ACTUALLY enjoying being with us for who we are... * doesn't understand the basic concept of what guys are mostly all about and thereby feel jealous, threatened, or challenged... * cannot trust us or conversely don't come across as trustworthy yourself... You'll never be that hot and you'll get uglier very quickly in our eyes. If you DON'T do the above, you quickly drop 4 sizes in our eyes. IMHO. |
