I was thinking he would wait till the elections to see if a birther was running against him, then produce it for an instant smackdown.
mabye this will get off the news and we can go back to important stuff like the royal wedding.
OK OK OK it's all fun and games until you mention the Royal Wedding! Actually, nobody over that I know gives a rats behind about it, either. |

No, instead, he just says `I'm not going to pay back my loan on that building because it's not selling well.' Now that's just good business. mr2tony - 2011-04-27 9:34 AM jamgam - 2011-04-27 8:17 AM Not sure how you define `private sector' but you do know that Obama was a lawyer before becoming president, right? Trump is a buffoon who can't even keep his own companies above water. They filed for bankruptcy at least twice in the '90s and condos at that eyesore of a building in Chicago sold very slowly, though that could be blamed partly on the decline in the economy. Still, as allegedly savvy as he believes himself to be, perhaps he should've seen it coming. On top of that it's like watching a circus clown perform with `The Apprentice' and his endless rants about Obama's birth locale. To even include him in the discussion is embarrassing. I agree about the Birth Certificate issue even though I'm no Obama supporter. The rest of the world is mocking us with Obama as president. What would be the difference with Trump? I'm not a Trump supporter either but at least he's worked in the private sector and knows what it takes to make it run. Electing Obama was a popularity contest and electing Trump would be the same thing There needs to be a test or more stringent voting requirements or something. Voting is a privilege and should be taken seriously. 18 and breathing just doesn't cut it. Yea its unfortunate that Trump doesn't have the power to quadruple his debt then just push his creditors to raise the debt ceiling. Tamato, tomato... really. In the county's case well just keep spending and spending... barely covering interest to our debtors for hundreds of years. We will all long since be dead before our loans are paid off, if ever. Only difference is, we can just keep the cycle going, in business you can't. |

Only difference is, we can just keep the cycle going, in business you can't. Or, in Trump's case, you can. Just declare one business bankrupt and move on to the next. Or just refuse to repay the loan. Yes I also would like to see the deficit go away. But Trump ain't the guy that will make that happen anymore than Obama. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We need to focus on the important issues facing this country, such as how Obama has half of downtown Chicago shut down right now to be on Oprah. Focus people.

silly blbriley. That would just be crazy to think that actual issues would take precedence over the headlines.
No one pays attention to those anymore. pomp and circumstance is what rules the day

And previous presidents NEVER shut down an entire city when coming to town. |

Why let some guy get money from the book sale? That guy will still make just as much money now as before Obama's press conference. Never doubt the ability of the mind to ignore fact when they get in the way of beliefs. It's universal. |

Of course that has nothing to do with "Eligibility", the biggest factor behind all these crazy theories is old fashioned RACISM. |

That is a certificate of live birth. Not the same. Anyone born anywhere can get a certificate of live birth. It proves nothing. Yeah I think he probably was born in the US but be very clear nobody has ever seen a real birth certificate. I was born in Hawaii and I never received a birth certificate. I do have a certificate of live birth, but for some reason Hawaii just does things differently. I'm not president, but I can relate to Obama on this issue. People need to get over this. Don't worry. Nobody will ask you for further 'credentials' b/c you are white and your name is Andrew. ![]() Jamie |

I'm not saying they're all horrible people, but I am asking if they are trustworthy. Seems like they all say what they need to in order to get elected and then do something else... I'm also thinking that they all have to make "deals" to get where they are...

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() So if a sitting president passes away while vacationing in Hawaii, will people be arguing that the vice president cannot be sworn in because the death certificate paperwork was a little different from other states? |

It makes some people very comfortabel to pick a side and act as its cheerleader, while decrying everything the other side does.

I'm sure everything has something to do with racism. Saying it's the "biggest factor" is silly, in my opinion, and seems as unsubstantial as the birther's claims. But, calling people racist, just 'cause, sure does have a dramatic ring to it.

Sure, there will always be cries of racism. But not the primary motivation/cause here, imo..... just good ole politics as usual. |

Too much has been made of it for far too long and he decides now to produce a copy. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() My thoughts are that the GOP is taking the Trump train as far as they can. Of course he is not a serious contender and he is proving every day why he even flirted with idea, it is self promotion that has earned him even more press than he could have ever paid for. With the credentials that Obama brought to the White House (or lack there of), I cant see how anyone going forward will be knocked for what speaks of their past experience. That bar was recently dropped to all time low. |
