I've been a runner forever, and, in my current location, am almost always hot. (Unfortunately this refers to body temperature rather than appearance or speed.) I'm truly world-class at sweating and generally look like a drowned rat when I run in the tropics. Thus the username. I actually tried to register the username Hotter than H... but the site wouldn't let me, so Hot Runner it was.

I started working out because my natural metabolism stopped being able to keep up with the ridiculous amount of junk food I eat.

I dieted for 1 week (the very most I was willing to do) before my last Tri and then afterward I had a cinnabon every day for a week. It was amazing. So my username is tied very directly to my dietary habits.

The inspiration to get my kids back to Disneyworld for a half-marathon got me running. That got me tri-ing. So before I latched on the whole Doughboy to Ironman thing, (and besides BT has a real Doughboy) I went with a Disney reference. My favorite series is Toy Story. So look for these guys on a towel in transition, and you may find.....

I look a lot like Ben Stiller and I picked up the nickname Focker at work when "Meet the Parents" came out.  I put "Fokker" on my helmet because my boss didn't approve of a "ck" since I work in public service, and if that boss asked he got it.  The habit stuck.  416 is my badge number.

Mine too! I was born on 8/11, my numerology number is an 11, I met my husband on 1/11, and when I ran my 13.1 PR (and most solid race to date), my bib number was, I kid you not, 1111. It was 1115 for rev3 this year. Sadly, no 11 in my number for Coz.

Mine is a throw back to 10 years ago when I started out and was slow but happy to be out running. Now I 'm a bit faster - but it's all relative right?

Mc Q - 2012-10-26 11:14 PM I had an uncreative user name when I first joined and then started meeting BT'rs at races and got tired of saying the really stupid name so just changed it to the sound of my last name.  Makes it easy now.

It should be McNinja instead of McQ!

I use "d00d" alot when I talk, so that is why I used it....d00d.
