When the SB winner is just the guy who got hot for 3 or 4 consecutive games. Yup...that's all it is. Almost all of the teams in the playoffs have gone on a 3-4 game (or longer) tear during the regular season. Shoot, even Chicago looked dominant for the first half of the season. What's interesting is that San Fran has yet to win 3 games in a row this season. If you include their win against Arizona this past weekend, they will have to win 4 in a row to win the SB. But I have to believe that SF played the toughest schedule in the league. Seattle twice, Green Bay, Chicago, New England, New Orleans, Minnesota, and the Giants. St. Louis is no longer a slouch...and when SF played the cupcakes (Jets, Buffalo, Arizona, Miami), they won by a combined score of 157-32. They did have a few bad losses to the Giants and Seattle where they got dominated though. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I'm disappointed that the Giants team who was 6-3 at one point and who played so well against some really good teams couldn't manage one more win. But at least the Cowboys and Eagles are out of it too... I don't have a dog in the fight anymore, but I'd like to see Washington/Denver in the SB. |

That would be cool to go up against Shannahan in the SB..... uuuhh, on second though, maybe not. I really liked Shannahan and hope he is successful in Washington. I was suprised when Bowlen let him go... but sometimes you need a spark too. Mike always fielded quality competitive teams. Not sure how much credit to give to Fox right now, but the defense id playing good and he has a ring too. Giants... really can't stand them... and for no particular reason. Just really tired of hearing about N.Y. I mean the Jets... who * cares? And the Giants... Coughlin will either win the SB, or get fired... maybe in the same week. Always with the drama. What do you think is suspect? Serious question, really. You can't discount where Denver is sitting. But ya, I expected it with an easy second half of the season. Texans are heading in the wrong direction. Pats are always tough and actually have a good defense and strong offense as always. I think they are the biggest threat in the AFC. Denver has come a long way since week one, and we have a lot of talent... but no recent dominating performances against good teams. Hard to tell where they really stand in the league. |

The kind of talent that led you to this quote last year? 'm sorry... WHAT??? We had one winning season in 6 years. No playoffs. McDaniels came in and dismantled the team to remake it in his image. 6 defensive coordinators in 6 years... ya, he inherited a regular power house. Regular Arron Rodgers situation. Come on... seriously... I come from the capital of a one man team. Elway could bring a team to the bowl all by himself, but he could not win it until he had a team. Tebow isn't even in the same time zone as Elway... it isn't Tebows game to win or loose... that is just what the media loves to play up... and the same in this thread. The BRONCOS played very well today. The BRONCOS played like crap the last 3 games. The BRONCOS have been getting better each game this year. .... and all the while...Tebow has been pulling his weight and more for what he does and where he is at in his career. PERIOD. What exactly is he responsible for in that organization with what we have been putting up for since the last time Steelers kicked our butt in the playoffs???

I'm not really sure where you are going with that. McDaniels did dismantle the team, certainly the offense... he had some good picks, he was gone last year. Last year we got Fox and he worked on the defense. We had Elvis last year, and Miller this year. The Defense was good last year, and looked to be better this year... bring in Peyton... well, they brought in Elway last year, and Peyton in the off season and here we are. |

Russell Wilson should be ROY but he won't get it because everyone is slobbering over Luck in spite of his 18 INT's which is more than RG3 and RW combined. It's pretty much 6 of one half-dozen of the other for me when it comes to ROY. Luck took a 2-14 team to the playoffs and didn't have Morris/Lynch (ranked 2 and 3 in Rushing yds) to hand the ball off to like RG3 and Wilson. A LOT more was put on his shoulders and he did a heck of a job. Not to detract from RG3 and Wilson, but they had more to work with. Plus, Wilson was handed a win, a TD and had 1 less INT than he should have, just sayin
To further my point, CBS Sports has an article saying that Russell Wilson is the reason multiple coaches/GM's were fired. If that's not ROY, what is? |

My Packers are in, I don't know how long they will last with the O line playing the way it is. But at least they are in for now. Waiting to see the Faclons go down in flames as usual, should be fun to watch. Hoping Payton and the Broncos can get past the Pat's to go to the big game. |

Adrian deserves the MVP without a doubt...and I'm not just saying that because I am a Vikings fan. No doubt, Peyton had a great year, but please...the Broncos were a playoff team with Orton and Tebow at qb. Adrian = League MVP, Peyton = Comeback Player of the Year.

Obviously, they are not perfect and have not made the playoffs... but they set the bar pretty high. Even them getting embarrassed a couple weeks ago... that just makes them mad. The Pats are tough when they have a chip on their shoulders. |

It's close for me, but no big deal. What both of them did isn't exactly big news for them, but it's huge considering their injuries. I guess I will have to give the edge to AP... as bad as the AFC West is, perhaps Denver still gets playoff berth w/o Peyton... but MN w/o AP... ya, they are going no where fast. |

Based on the last 12 years, I'm probably less confident than if they were a constant threat those 12 years - like the Patriots. But they have to play the games. And I'm glad that NE has to go to Denver, than the other way around. |
