1) YEEEEAAAAAH!

2) I dunno, Switchy, I mean some of the guys in my family are pretty fedora flash ...

Nah, you're right. It's really only the (debatably) grown women who can pull it off.

Yeah, I haven't had whole body goosebumps since Kingsley left GO HOTNESSES, GO!

Speaking of goosebumps and wanting heat ... it looks seriously brrr chilly bang bang out there. Lotta jackets, arm warmers, cycling tights coming out of transition.

OH my freakin AWESOMENESS!

Listen, Yanti, the whole fedora thing requires the right personality.  I have never met you or anyone in your family, and yet I KNOW, with every fiber of my being, that all of you can pull off the fedora.  You guys are like the poster children for fedoras.  LOVE the new avi BTW!

FWIW, all of those 100s except 1 were between 1:34 and 1:31 w/ 10sec RI.  I literally couldn't believe it. I am actually finding myself excited about swimming :)

I'm hoping it's a technical issue with her chip or the events system.

Me too. Could also be she's cold and trying to warm up in transition. It really is very cold out there, and at near-total humidity the damp will feel chilly indeed.

Fingers crossed for a timing glitch.

That too. I may have squirrel powered Internet but it's taking forever to load anyone's splits.

That would be a super long time in t1 ( over an hour), so really hoping for technical issue! Crossing my toes to boost the power of my crossed fingers!

Pretty sure it's a site issue. Can't get any of my other friends' splits either.

Site won't open for me now. I know Janyne had clothing/weather concerns for the bike, but she has preparation down pat, so I don't think the cold would stop her.

BT is causing issues for me too!  I sent a FB message to Dan (marvarnett) who's out there to see if he saw Janyne.  I'll let you all know either here or through someone on FB if I hear back from him.

Just the thought of swimming 30x100 makes me want to kill myself! You are tough.

I have to disagree with point 2. There are no men who can pull off the fedora look:)

Ouch, you know how to hurt a guy. I admit that it was worn while I was a pit musician for Grease. I'm no Tim Gunn.

Chris, I can make exceptions for musicians in the act of playing music.  So Blues Brothers

Hands--the reason I did it was because it elicited the same response in me when Yanti mentioned in the other day. It's been taunting me ever since.  I actually didn't think I would be able to finish it before I started, but I thought I'd see how far I could go

If y'all have not tried swimming 4-5x/week, I STRONGLY encourage you to give it a shot.  The improvement in a relatively short period of time has been simply amazing to me.

It's amazing how much that can help! Even when the additional swimming is essentially just a warm-up, and then when everything develops enough to have a good warm-up and main set.

BT is burping a lot on me today too.  Sometimes lets me on, sometimes not...inspires got beggared up....

Hope it's a set up site issue for Jayne.  Cannot imagine anything else.

I may be biased but I think DS2 looks pretty good in a fedora...

Random things I've been meaning to tell you all about...

1) I bought a French Press. Yay. DS2 talked me in to it. Haven't tried it yet. I am researching the "perfect" method.

2) A barista at Sbux told me that they (the baristas) can no longer have visible tattoos, face piercings or un-naturally colored hair. This surprises me coming from Sbux

3) Last weekend on my way to Denver I read a blog that reviewed a product called FlapJacked. They are a Boulder-based small company that make a protein infused pancake mix. Based on the info from the blog I'd intended to go to the King Soopers (Colorado's Kroger) because they supposedly carried it. Well lo and behold the owners had a booth at the RnR Denver expo!!! So I bought one of each of the three flavors. I tried the regular buttermilk this morning and liked it. I'm pretty excited about this because I like the ease and convenience of pancakes but had wished they had more protein. Whalla!!!! The owner said the grocery stores carry the smaller package so I'll probably order them direct from the company. (Oh, and Chris, they have a recipe for making a PB pancake from their Buttermilk mix)

The site must be a total mess, I found her swim split and T2 times but no bike split

So given this info she *must* be on the run.

The site only has Monica's swim time.  It is not working well at all.  I looked for my friend Scott and it isn't posting much for him--he's wicked fast too.  And Chris Gregg from BT only has swim and T2 times.  The site is a hot mess.

You can't be that flummoxed if you can spell flummoxed.  I admit, I checked on him this morning.

Near the end of one of my long runs, I noticed my left hip aching. There was a slight pop with each step. The hip was sore for 2 days after the run.
