It is so friggin' cold here, send me some of your sun and warmth, please!!  Technically we do have the sun today but it sure as heck isn't warm! We got 6-8 inches of snow last night, it's hard to tell for sure because it is also windy and therefore drifting.  Also, it is 10 degrees currently but the 'real feel', according to the Weather Channel, is -8.  Holy crap, that is cold!  Tonight I think it is supposed to get down to 4.  Cuh-razy!!

I'm about to go make a hot tea and let Mr. Earl Grey soothe my cold hands and feet!

Oh, Oh, Oh!!!!!!!!!!!! Big news!!! DH asked about doing a race together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's still unsure he wants to do it but he mentioned last night that he might want to do this one. He likes the offroad idea.

They appear to be a brand new company so this years races would be their first. Interesting. DH wants to do Moab (of course)

Quick stop by in the pod as we leave Colorado Springs. After the crazy snow storm trip on the way to KS, this is relaxed and pretty. We're taking the scenic, mountainous route to Durango today. Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak are coming up this morning. I think I could happily live here

Very cool he wants to do a race with you, and the one he picked sure looks like a winner!  I really like the idea behind it.  DOOOOOO EEEIIIIIITTTTT!!!!!!

I keep trying to get DH to be part of a relay (he would bike) in the Got the Nerve tri - he says he wants to and I believe him, and we have a runner but would need a swimmer.  I would do it with them but I really hate to give up doing my favorite (first one way back when) to just be a swimmer.  Since he's dragging his feet about asking the runner and finding a swimmer, the rates have jumped up.  Sigh.

I recently just ran a 5 mile race, and in the last 100 meters I was sprinting to pass someone and I felt a "pop" in my left arch. Could I have strained it? What is your advice for healing?

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.

Near the end of one of my long runs, I noticed my left hip aching. There was a slight pop with each step. The hip was sore for 2 days after the run.
