Wow, a full year later.  How time has flown bye.  I'm in for this one.  Gimme a couple days to figure out  my goals thought.  Thanks Steve and Jordan for bringing this to my attention.

Cool! Looks like we'll have some decent participation again.  I'd like to emulate what we did last December, have teams with captains for each team.  I can have a spreadsheet template setup for each team that would be compiled weekly and then sent to me and I'll compile the full results.

Teams for now would be as follows.  If we need to consolidate teams we can do that too, or unless someone has a better idea for a team/new team let me know:

  1. Gamecock Wahoos
  2. MidAtlantic Crabs
  3. Team Utah
  4. New England Pooltriots
  5. Florida Fish
  6. Crazy Canucks
  7. Midwest Blizzards
  8. Carolina Curmudgeons
  9. Georgia Shockers
  10. Southwest Swashbucklers
  11. Texas Yeehaws
  12. Pacific Ring of Fire

So any volunteers for captains???  If so please send me a PM.

Since the 31st of Dec is on a Sunday I propose that this is started on Monday Dec 4th so we would have 4 full weeks.  It is tough to go back and cull out a partial week of results so the 1st-3rd would not count.

BTW, you goals can be in distance or time.  If a goal is in distance I'd like to keep everything converted to yards (meters*1.0936133).  IIRC when you look at someone Else's logs the units default to the Viewers Control Panel setting so if I need to double check anything I would see someones meters as yards.

Goodie! I'm in.

Midwest Blizzard (I think, St. Louis is midwest, but not so much snowy, so I'll go where other Missourians go).

Total for the month, 12,000 yards. Considering I haven't really swam since my last tri, this should be pretty good for me. It'll be a challenge just to get in the pool!

I think last time we threw out anyone who went over 100%, instead, if we go over 100% can we just say that person met their goal at 100%? In other words, you for purposes of calculations, it's impossible to go over 100%.  Does that make sense?  In case not, here's an example: I go over my goal and make 115%. Instead of figuring 115% into the team average, and instead of throwing me out, we just say I made 100%.

Thoughts?

Yeah, the speadsheet max's out the effort at 100%.  I attached a template speadsheet if you are interested in how it's all calculated.

I'm going to give the a few more days of circulation then at the end of the week post the rules and such.  I still would like some help with team captains that could assist with some of the work.  After 30 individuals or so it gets harder for just one person to compile.

It is not December yet and I am hoping that this is not too late. (Looks like folks are still signing up)

I am in the last 6 weeks of a Marathon training plan but am also ramping up my swim miles as the year closes out. (Base Building for an HIM in March)

Oh, Live in SoCal but have no team preferences. (I am new and have not played before)

Oh, I guess I need to post Mileage also:

Put me down for 40,000 Yards

I wouldn't mind getting in on this, I think that would be 20,000 for a Blizzard.

Hmmmm...I'm a bit of a novice here. I'm not sure about distance vs. time. I'm trying to increase distance and only have finite time.

Today would have been a swim day but had a kid up crying last night so sleep was needed and slept in past my 435 alarm clock. (maybe later!? I'll get a swim in)

So I guess put me in for 1 hour a week or 1800-2000 yards a week
