, Texas | Subject: RE: ROUTES!!!! One thing I noticed when trying to change a route from private to public (or vice versa): Go to Route Manager, click the "E" to edit a route. Click to change the private/public and I notice the "type" is a swim (it was a run). Click on the type and only swim is available. Now, this route is only available for swim training. Also, I'm not sure what private/public is: Private - only the owner can see, right? Public - anyone can see (ie guest), or is it just public to BT users, or does it depend on the setting for "Allow guests of the site to view any logs you have made public"? Thanks again for these cool features. |

Champion 13323 | Subject: RE: ROUTES!!!! Camy, this issue is cleared up. Anytime you plot two different sports, it will be categorized as a 'brick' automatically...we shouldn't have allowed a user to 'recategorize' a workout to a different sport. Now, if you want single or combo sports to be categorized as a 'race', we have a 'race checkbox' now....we eliminated the other sport dropdowns. All 'type's of workouts are now covered and will be filtered in the logging dropdowns accordingly to what type they are.

I have some quick feedback: 1) Not sure how this happened but I clicked on the route button to remap my Gmaps bike ride on Sat. When I saved it and checked the log it was on the Run section. Did I do something wrong here, do I have to click on the bike before it is saved? I take it that I cannot transfer this over to the bike or can I? 2) I played with the 'Out & Back' and a warning window popped up, "A script on this page is causing Internet Explore to run slowly...{something else about unresponsive} ...Do you want to Abort the Script, YES NO. I really don't like these error messages! 3) The Route window cannot be made to be full screen and opens up off center (half of it off-screen to the right). FYI, I use my monitor in Portrait mode, 1024x1280. Thanks again... |

Champion 13323 | Subject: RE: ROUTES!!!! DRM: 1 - Are you sure you were mapping a 'bike' - that would map as a green line...runs are red. I just created a bike route and it saved as a bike...but it could be a bug...ANYONE ELSE? You can't change it to a different route as if you change a route with previously logged session that can create issues. 2 - The 'out and back'....how many times did you press this and how fast? Perhaps keep every out and back a little 'slow' on the button hitting? I DID notice this too when testing, but it took several out and backs in quick succession to do this.. but my route was a simple 4 points...it seems your route has MANY points....it's just processing a lot of data... Perhpas it can be speeded up? Marmadaddy...what do you think? 3 - Yes, that is a reported but, will be working on that. |

Lethbridge, Alberta | Subject: RE: ROUTES!!!! I haven't played with it a lot yet so maybe I've missed something obvious so far. I'd like to share some of my workout routes without posting a map to my home. Is there a way to put public maps of some local routes and loops in my log and keep the out and back leg from there to my doorstep private? Perhaps we could log a run as a combination of more than one saved route? Or should I post a loop and just manually add distance for the trip there and back. Any suggestions? Ron/Mike, #1 - Now that I think about it more I restarted the bike route thing after playing with the Out & Back deal and aborted the script deal. I just duplicated the error by starting a new bike route adding several points (green), then selected CLEARMAP to restart the route. Now when I went to reenter the bike route it is now in the Run route mode with red... #2 - I hit it once that I know of. Maybe if something is happening in the backgorund that a 'twirling hour glass' or whatever show that something is happening. |

Champion 13323 | Subject: RE: ROUTES!!!! DRM, #1 - It's not so much an 'error' but a 'reset' - since when creating a new route the 'run' is the default. But I can see that this may be a PITA. Perhaps we can maintain the original selected sport after ClearMap is used...this should be easy. #2 - If you have a lot of points, even hitting it once could slow it down...as it has to create a whole 'new route' and get the data. If you zoom-in all the way, unless I'm mistaken, using 'go home, loop and out and back' isn't using the original points, but points very close to the original...so it has to recompute all the new points all at once...this could be the slowdown...marma can chime in...we can perhpas try to speed it up. |

I've a lot of routes in routeslip.com, and wonder if they could be brought over, or if they have to be redone? Again, awesome, and another reason to go gold here bump |

Pro 6582 Melbourne FL | Subject: RE: ROUTES!!!! Thanks Ron, Another thing, on the swim routes the markers only go up to number 10 then stop. Also when I made a swim route the distance is in yards/meters. When I save it then review it in the Routes log, the swim data is now in miles, the yards/meters are no longer stated, just somthing I noticed. Oh, when I pulled up the swim route(s) the display is now in Map mode not the Satellite mode that it was made in. Bug or not I don't know, Gmaps saves in the route in the mode it was made in. |

If possible the best situation would be to save the map in the mode it was saved in. If you zoom in all the way on the Satellite mode and save the route, then view it after wards the Map mode is not supported for that level (example). Maybe a corner case issue, up to you all to decide if it is worth the effort or not. |
