mr2tony - 2008-07-30 5:20 PMUhhh if No. 2 didn't happen, then it's not even a `stand' ...

I'm not really sure of the etymology of the phrase, to be honest - didn't really ever think about what the "stand" means. Cuz I'm all innocent and such.

Quote of the week!

I always thought is was:

  1. Didn't know her previously (or at least were not friends - maybe saw her before, but that's it)
  2. Go ALL the way that very night.
  3. Don't really call or hookup again.

Maybe my definition is tighter than others.

Nah, I was just curious. I don't really know the perameters. I agree that item #2 must happen though - otherwise, it's a hook-up. And the absence of #3 would make it more than "1-night", so...

Uhhh if No. 2 didn't happen, then it's not even a `stand' ...

Some people (like my SO) thinks that getting to third base is a ONS - therefor I'm GUILTY.  I think not..... (but she's just trying to bring me to her level to cover a mistake)

Naw, cuz if that's the case, TONS of people have had a ONS.

mr2tony - 2008-07-30 2:14 PM Nevr had a one-night stand in the true sense. As in `met a girl at a bar, took her home, then made her do the walk of shame the next morning.'

I had a one afternoon stand once. NOT kidding.

At the movie theater? What was his name?

Whoa now...I think we are venturing into dangerous territory here.

Um, so, yeah cell phone plans. I have Verizon and while I pay more than I should for the minimum number of minutes, that I don't use, their coverage is good.

Verizon is the best around here, too. I think I have my boss talked into switching me to that. I hope so.

I switched from Nextel to Verizon.  Nextel sucked.

Agreed. That doesn't count. Now ... if you play a little game of `just the tip' then that would count. But third base? Pshhh ... that's not even a blip on the radar.

You might as well stay home with Mr. Hand and/or toys than screw with 3rd base. 3rd base is like thinking you're going to get a free ice cream cone and all you get is the paper wrapper they put on the bottom of the cone.

Hey! I like the paper wrapper on the bottom of the cone. In fact, it's almost as good as the cone itself if, um, made properly. And such.

I really like turtle cheesecake and snickers cheesecake.  I like many flavors really but I hate that fake fruit syrupy stuff - in general, not just on cheese cake.

Hey kids, you've all been pretty busy.

Oh, yeah, I don't like the fake fruit topping on cheesecake. I've made real fruit topping though, boiling down berries with sugar and water, etc. I made a REALLY good pumpkin cheesecake with gingersnap crust at Thanksgiving.

I like food. All kinds of food.  About the only things I don't like are Brussel Sprouts (Blech!) and Liver and Onions (Double Blech!).  Everything else.  YUM!

It was good. I made it for Thanksgiving dinner, as well as a "baked goods and beer" party that I had (mostly to bait and hook this guy I was interested in - and it worked) - it was quite a hit with all, including guy-I-was-baiting.

Have you ever actually HAD brussel sprouts? Because I always assumed they were gross until I actually had one...and it wasn't gross at all! Tasted like a tiny cabbage. I like cabbage.

I have a feeling you'll love it. No spoilers, but I think its far, far more violent than the first movie w/Nolan was... I tend to agree with the reviewers that its one of the best comic book movies ever, on a par with Spiderman II.

cool
