I looked for a picture of Kevin Dineen in Cooperall's but couldn't find one.  After a quick e-mail or two within the family I understand he missed that debacle by a couple of years.  His older brothers Gord and Peter were in the NHL during the right time frame, but played on teams who never wore them.

Although, I think Dad Bill might have been coaching the Philly Flyers one year in the Cooperall days.  I will have to ask him the next time we talk.

Sucks that both my Whalers and my North Stars have moved.  I must be a crappy fan and still consider myself an orphan!!!

Gosh, I sure am glad I brought lunch today (zucchini and chicken breast stir fry over rice leftovers).  That picture of the burger/fries would have sent me right over to the corner deli.  Wait.  now it is John's avatar...I will have to look at it everyday!!!  Julia-see what you have done.

jack and i get home a little while ago.  i go to throw something away in the closest bathroom and out of the corner of my eye i catch a brown thing  in the toilet.  JACK!  FLUSH THE TOILET!!! 

but wait... did that brown thing just move?  in the dark bathroom i'm staring at this brown thing in the toilet thinking, did that sh*t just move.  i'm starting to feel like a fool staring at jack's business when it moves again!!! wtf?  i turn the light on...there's a chipmunk in my damn toilet.  wtf?

yeah, when you first see the vid, you're gonna think the same thing i did.  i promise, its a real chipmunk.

a few years ago we had flying squirrels get into our house.  nocturnal fools would come in at 2 or 3 in the morning and the dogs would go ballistic.  at first we had no idea what was going on, scared the heck out of us.

AWESOME!!!! And how did it end?? Just watched this with my kids, and at the end, when Jack clasped his hands together, my kids said in unison, "He has silly bandz!!!" Ha! That made more of an impression than poor Alvin in there! Hope he made it out without incident!!

Yes, seriously.  Having a terrier and a cat in the house, both Ripley and Mochi have caught mice and decided to show me love and bring them (alive) to me.  Twice while I was lying in bed, sleeping peacefully and once while watching a scary movie on the couch.  If you had me on video tape, you would have caught me flying up into a vertical position, screaming out loud!  All three times, I scared the girls so bad they dropped the little sucker and had to go scampering after it as it tried to make it's escape.

Doing a 5:45 HIM has absolutely nothing to do with a healthy fear of rodents (rational or irrational!)  Now, if I could get that down to 5:30,  THAT might just toughen me up.
