Well, I did only say probably. :P.

I think that Randee was saying that she's a single track kinda rider!  She's got skillz!

lol...I know. Was trying to make you greenway riders feel better about missing out on the fun.

HEH. I used to have skillz. There just are not enough hours in the day to do everything I want to do and this year that has suffered.

But I change my mind like the wind so I'm sure I'll be back out there sometime soon. You are all welcome to join me :p

Just checking in. I have adjusted to running with the orthotics, well, almost. The only foot wear that I can run in with little to no pain are an old pair of lightweight combat boots. So if any of you happen to see a person at a race running in running tights combat boots and a USMC tee shirt that is most likely me. If it is sunny during the race I'll most likely be wearing a USMC pith helmet.

I don't recall posting a picture of my racing bike. I have taken a couple of pictures but need to figure out how to post them using my iPhone.

This is Kanga Katana rigged in road bike mode and ready for 50+ miles away form home. With road support one must be self supporting, hence the storage.

Agreed!!    Good to hear that the body and orthotics are now getting along better.  Hope that continues.  Kanga Katana looks awesome.  Love those blue tires!!

hey! I'm off the DL this week. Woo hoo!!!!

I'm sitting in the Minneapolis airport waiting to board my flight. It's already been a long day and this next leg is 2x as long as the first, but in some amount of hours I will be in Anchorage! So, I won't be doing a lot of posting the next couple of weeks. Try not to miss me too much

I thought I'd get a little swim in before daycare closed. Started off great...and then a guy got in the lane next to me and said, "You make that look so easy." I laughed and said, "Good! Because it really isn't." And then he started talking more and Teacher Erin kicked in and answered a couple of questions...and then Teacher Erin saw him swim. It was painful even to my untrained, poorly executing self. So I talked to him more. And even as I was rinsing off, I was giving him tips about breathing. Kinda hope he's there again sometime. Just to see if I could actually help a bit.

Hiya Manatees!  I can be taken off the DL for my stupid knee, but my stupid brain has had me down for the count since Wednesday afternoon... hoping to be okay to do a loop of the Austin 70.3 bike course tomorrow morning... and debating whether I should try and swim today or just leave it because my brain still kinda hates me.

What the heck is up with your brain?  Has it melted from the heat or something?

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
