Today is a bike commute day. Tomorrow I'm back to running. This is all according to plan and I will be right on target!

I would love to commute to work but I sweat like CrAzY and there are no showers/facilities (except toilet and sink) at work! Any ideas from any of you who commute? I think it is an awesome way to get your riding in.

I am going a bit nuts! Can't believe it's only 3 days til Boise 70.3... taper madness has definitely set in. I feel like I should be out doing long workouts to prepare and I keep having to remind myself that it won't do any good at this point.

Remind yourself how great you have prepared for it ALREADY!! Good luck!

I got up early this morning and did a 3 mile run.  Nice to have it done for the day!

Great job! I love my morning workouts - great way to "git er dun" and enjoy the rest of the day. It's also WAY to hot in Central Florida to think about running any other time of the day...in my humble non-runner opinion.

I had to take the day off today - didn't feel quite right when I woke up, had an elevated HR and a busy day at work. Still don't feel quite right but today was not a run day so hopefully I will feel better in the morning and get a 5 miler in tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend. The RV thing sounds cool - I would love to travel to a tri like that some day!

Well I got 2 good runs in this week...and I have a 5K this weekend...I THINK I'm looking forward to it.  I'm kinda sad, cuz I don't think I'll be running all of it - and that was my goal.  But I know that I ran more of the other 5K I did...but then I don't want to hurt myself ?!?!

Tomorrow instead of my 1 miler I had planned...I think I'm gonna swim.  My hip flexors are feeling a little tweaked and I can feel it in my quads.

Take it one step at a time and see how you feel on race day. You are wise not to push...an injury this early in the season would not be good. Good luck!

Good Luck, Racing June Bugs!

I ran 1 mile today (little brick run after an hour bike). But hey, it's chipping away at the goal.

Doesn't matter HOW you get there, just as long as you get there!!

Some people use baby wipes but I don't think I'd bike in if I couldn't shower there. It's not a very good shower, but it works. I also have a locker I can leave stuff in all the time so I don't have to bring it back and forth each time.

(aside - - I tried to find a picture of a lot of june bugs together, to look like a giant race. But the first multiple june bugs pic I  found showed them in a frying pan. It was accompanied by a blog entry describing how to eat them. So I stopped looking.)

Um...ew.  I would have stopped looking too.

Also, I found this part extremely entertaining.

Richmond is bad enough for heat and humidity.  I can't even imagine Florida.

Did not get my planned run in this morning...Frown...but will make it up this week. Surpassed 100k yds ytd in the pool yesterday.  Cool.  Learned to swim 2 years ago.  Still painfully slow, but love chasing that stupid black line.  Correction:  love swimming in my wetsuit water wings.

4 mile run done this morning...before the sticky sets in.

Unfortunately, I'm too sweaty to even think about showering right now. Must cool down.

I noticed that too the other morning!  I'm getting in longer runs - even if it's on the dreadmill...I come back and I'm soaked. I get in the shower - and turn it cooler -ahhhh!  soo nice!  But then I get out of the shower - and I'm STILL sweating!!
