Yeah... greens and I don't do well together.  I eat pickles, jalapenos (which are supposed to be red, BTW), green beans, and Granny Smith apples.  That's about it.

At lunch, I was able to get some gym time in... 15 minutes on the exercise bike.  Dunno what sort of wattage I was putting out, but I maintained a 110+ RPM cadence with the bike set to "random."  Good ride.  That resulted in only 5.76 miles.

Then I jumped on the treadmill.  Same "random" program, which randomly varies the incline.  Max incline I saw was 4.3%.  For the first 5 minutes, I had it set to 5MPH, then 5.5MPH for the next 5 minutes, and the last 5 were at 6MPH.  As much as I hate training on a treadmill, if I can get myself to doing 7.5MPH for about 25 minutes straight, I'm pretty sure my actual run will be pretty killer for a guy my size.

As for kilted photos... the kilts are still packed away.  Tomorrow's mission is to find them.
I'm also thinking some "in progress" photos might be apropos.  What say you?

My challenge... post up your "in progress" pics.  I expect AbbieR's to have something to do with Wild Weasel.  ;-)

Well I had some greens yesterday but I wouldn't describe them as the better options... celery & romaine - likely 3 servings.  Need to buy some of those dark green ones!

I love romaine. I choked down some raw broccoli at lunch yesterday in honor of the challenge.

A man's kilts should never be too far away.

Sorry, I am not posting any pictures for a while, not until I get closer to where I should be. I am down on myself enough as it is.

Had 4 servings of green veggies yesterday.  All 4 of them were incredibly forced, but I did it. So I elect to have more green veggies today. See what I did there?

Green veggies - hard for me to do too. Not my fave.

Last night - green beans. Today - green peppers & salad.

When do we get to do a wine challenge?

Yea!!

My morning one is a scoop of whey protein powder, 1 cup of plain yogurt (prefer Greek), 1 cup frozen fruit (any kind, you can mix it up- I freeze lots of seasonal fruit and use it), 1 oz cherry juice concentrate (for arthritis- it seems to help). You can add other stuff from there. Often we put in a cup of kale, or spinach. If you use the frozen fruit, you don't have to add ice.

abbie, i blame this on you.  usually when i go to a buffet i eat good,  but tonight i got 3 plates of this and a salad, no dressing even. never went to the good food. just sat there and smelled it. again this is your fault Laughing.  i managed to squeeze in a 25 mile ride in 37degree weather, with light rain showers thrown in as a bonus

Just back from the east coast and cacthing up on the thread....ummm....sorry

So I met a friend for lunch at this place downtown and I had pre-checked the menu to see if there were any good selections and nope!  So in the end I went for a salad - greens, avocado (does that count? it's green!) etc but ya 925 calories later. I have a feeling this week will be a maintenance week if I'm lucky!!  I'll have green broth for supper

Eating has been going good for the last few days and I have been getting my greens in.  All that may come crashing down this afternoon.  Where I work is also a polling place.  They ordered too much food for the poll workers and gave the rest to us.  We got back from a call to find 2 XXL pizzas sitting here, one being my favorite pizza.  A pizza that has white sauce with feta cheese, onions tomatoes, spinach and mozz cheese.  It was what my wife and I used to order on "cheat" days.  Now I have to stare at 2 of them sitting in our station.  If I was to eat a piece at least I would be getting some more greens.....
