Master 2146 East Side of the Bay | Subject: RE: Women's May Challenge Thread As always I have too many things on my to do list. Right on the top is: swim x2, run x1 and bike x2. That will put me at 100%. Doubt I will be able to get over though. |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: Women's May Challenge Thread Wasn't able to get out of work long enough to get my final swim in last week. So, I headed over to the Y and did that this morning. I need to go get a run in today... I was putting it off since my foot hurts was waiting for it to snap out of it. Now my husband is going to pick us up a new kayak. Hopefully, the thunderstorms will hold off until he gets back so I can do this outside! My foot will NOT like the dreadmill. |

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Women's May Challenge Thread Had a wonderful massage today. My only beef is that they use a lot of scented oils and candles around the room and my sinuses (which are lousy on a good day) let me know it wasn't a good idea by filling up. Also had a nice ride on my bike too. So I am officially over on the bike. Over on the strength/stretching......even since dropping the run and swim (though I did swim last night and my lungs weren't too keen on it!) Come on ladies, finish strong!! |

Expert 1202 Montana | Subject: RE: Women's May Challenge Thread Today's race made it necessary to come up with a new acronym, so here it is: FATS. It stands for Few Are This Stupid. The water was freezing! I mean, FREEZING! It stung everywhere your skin was exposed. It rained almost the entire race, too. On the bright side, I set a new course record for my age group! I finished in 1:28:??. Not blazing fast, but 9 minutes faster than the former record holder. I had a great bike ride, though official results aren't up yet. I'm excited to see them! I was fourth in women's overall for the day! |

It took me about 200 yds before I finally put my face in the water. |

I'm sorry so many of you are sick or injured. It must be the pits. It looks like I will be 100% on all of my goals this month! I am racing this weekend, and that should finish off everything but the run. This morning I nearly got pushed off the road by a school bus, AGAIN! This happened last week, too. There is no alternate route, and I can't go at another time, because I work at the school! I left a message at the bus garage, but I need to call back tomorrow. These drivers need to be educated about Montana law. Both times they could have slowed down for just 10 seconds and I would have been out of their way. Happy Thursday! YIKES!!!!! I have been buzzed by school buses too, it scares the bejeepers outta me! Be careful out there, ladies! I find that whenever I have a close call, it's almost always a pickup truck. And last summer, some jerk in a rusted old station wagon with the fake woodgrain siding (remember those?) literally tried to run me off the road. As I barely recovered my balance and came to a stop, he had his hand out the window and was flipping me the bird. Nice. I wanted to wish you all a fabulous (and safe) holiday weekend! It almost sounds like you live in Central Illinois, we have that problem here too. |
