Salty is 29, so she started at 9:18 (CDT)

Monica and I are racing tomorrow.  I am starting at 9:16 (CDT) and am number 2453.  Monica starts at 8:41 - super jealous of that.  Tony (Monica's husband) starts at 8:36.

Am I missing any one?

Smoked it. That's a killer Oly time. The race splits are a little wonky on the run, but if you look at the elapsed race time, that's in order and what makes sense.

CONSPANKULATIONS SALTY!!!

Actually, both the swim and run splits are totally off for everyone, but again elapsed time tells the truth tale.

Somebody help me. I can't get the Game of Thrones theme song out of my head. And I'm hungry. I'm always hungry. I'm down to 63kg, which is awesome and lighter than I've been in a long time, but definitely plateaued out ... hard not to in peak training. In fact, nearly impossible to lose weight in peak training (just IME), although I sure do firm up some. Anyway, definitely at my target weight for IMJ, 60kg would have been Beyond Dreaming but I think I'll just sit here at Awesome Goal Met.

ETA: Come to think of it, I was always hungry anyway. So it's not any different now!

I would suggest pizza but that always leaves me hungry, too.     Just sayin'....   Innocent

Indeed, but it is a most satisfying distraction in its own right.

I just saw the Batman graph with accompanying equations and thought of you. I didn't look closely at the equations but the bottoms of the wings would be awfully hard to graph without using polar coordinates, I'd think?

ETA: Never mind. The two curves creating the wing bottoms are treated separately.

ETA2: Never never land. They're not. But the factor for circles is combined with one for a parabola so that they have the appropriate bend ... not just being two reflected semicircles in a straight row.

That graph is a bit tricky for a polar graph.  Several angles will have two or more r, where r is the distance of the point on the graph from the origin.

Fourier series works best for complex, compound graphs. Tongue out

But too many oscillation functions to create the straight lines needed for the pointy ears and head? Well, never mind, you can use as many as you want.

I looked at the equation more closely and I couldn't figure out how six functions equalled seven lines/curves until I read about the circle/parabola arrangement.

We could always take the easy way out with this.  This figure is reflexive about the y-axis so we only have to write equations for the right side.    We can draw the figure in the first quadrant using the equations of three straight lines and two parabolas.  The fourth quadrant we could use three parabolas.   We could very accurately reproduce the figure with these simple equations.   Hmm, the curves might be better expressed with hyperbolas.   They might even be catenary.

Way more than most folks want to know.  The engineers I know would just use splines.  Surprised
